Off to the Algarve? Wend your way west for a remote and peaceful pine forest stay at Parque Orbitur Sagres,, on the very south-western tip of continental Europe. Although it's a serene site in the middle of a forest, Parque Orbitur Sagres is well placed for shops, bars and seafood restaurants, at the small town of Sagres around a kilometre away. The beaches in Sagres are also hailed as some of the best surfing ones in Portugal, so finding surf schools and surf kit rental is a cinch; you could also get stuck into a deep sea fishing trip from Sagres harbour, tackle the hiking and cycling trails nearby, or have a peaceful day exploring the wildlife haven of Cape St Vincent Natural Park. Parque Orbitur Sagres is at the far western tip of southern Portugal's Algarve. It has bike hire and a play area, a games room, free wifi and a restaurant and takeaway. Baths, showers, toilets and a washing-up area are also available.

Liked: Schöne Anlage, saubere Sanitäranlagen. Freundlicher Empfang und schönes Restaurant, sowie kleiner Supermarkt gleich daneben.

Disliked: Bei Regen etwas schwieriger zu befahren.

Liked: Staff were very friendly. The site is walking distance to the town which was beautiful. Recommend the Laundry bar great bar restaurant.

Disliked: Facilities were very tired, although also very clean. Bar closed, restaurant closed, supermarket closed, although they do sell a few essentials in reception. Pitches were sandy and very uneven and quite small due to trees and uneven ground.

Liked: Friendly staff and clean facilities with hot water. Easy reach of Portimao and other holiday areas.

Disliked: Bad weather turned sandy coastal site unto a sad looking site.

Liked: Spacious camping spaces, shaded under pine trees, good facilities, toilet areas cleaned twice daily, adequate shop and lovely bar with a great atmosphere. Brilliant location for local attractions, beaches restaurants, bars and shops. We enjoyed out stay and would return.

Disliked: Wi-Fi only in specific areas

Liked: Conocer el pueblo pero en dos días es más que suficiente , la limpieza por parte de los empleados y atención en la cafetería muy bien.

Disliked: Las instalaciones se mastica el polvo ,calle sin asfaltar ,el agua muy poca para las duchas y muchas veces ni para lavarse los dientes y mucho menos para tirar de la cadena en los aseos y si no estás agusto te aguantas por qué no devuelven el dinero de los días que te quedan, si te quieres marchar antes(un secuestro) .no volveré ni lo recomiendo ,para ir con niños no tienen actividades de interés se aburrirán cómo ostras ,no hay piscina , es demasiado aburrido nos vinimos antes aunque no nos devolvieran el dinero lo ganamos en bienestar.

Local attractions

This is remote Portugal, on the extreme south-west of continental Europe and the country's Algarve, in a place of surfing and sands, seafood and fishing. The beaches of Praia da Mareta, Praia do Tonel, Praia da Baleeira and Praia do Beliche are about three kilometres from the site. Potter about a kilometre from the main town square of Sagres past the seafood restaurants to get to its port and marina for a scenic walk and sunbathe, or challenge your hiking self to a ramble around the cliffs and coastline, such as to the wildlife haven and spectacular scenery of Cabo de São Vicente or Cap St Vincent, a kilometre from town. You should see several bird species including Boneli's eagles, falcons, kites and herons nesting on the cliffs at the cape, close to the land's end landmark (the cape was known as the 'end of the world' in medieval times) of the Lighthouse of Cabo de São Vicente. It's one of the most powerful lighthouses in Europe and has long been the point of return for sailors and adventurers returning from Africa and the Americas. The lighthouse is in the Cape St Vincent Natural Park, a protected reserve that's also the site of prehistoric, Roman and Phoenician remains. Wander the coast, cliffs, wildflower meadows and pine forests to see species such as otters, badgers, Egyptian mongoose and wild boar, among colourful plants including orchids, honeywort and the rare shrubby violet.

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
Unsupervised minors must have a letter of authorisation from their parents or legal guardian.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Modifications are subject to a €10.00 (£8.57) fee.

Dogs

A valid vaccination certificate must accompany your dog.
Dogs are not allowed if you are staying in the accommodation units.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
