Now these are wide-reaching views… Peaceful Camping Panorama right in the San Bartolo Nature Park in the Marche’s province of Pesaro and Urbino is set among spectacular scenery, high among meadows 100 metres above sea level: have a peek now at the site pics… It’s about 10 minutes’ drive to the beach and within a short drive of piles more leisurely things to do, including horse riding, golf and tennis – or one could just have a wander, as this is a peaceful place well away from swarming tourist resorts. The site has a bar-restaurant (also with rather wide-reaching views), dishing up full dinners and pizzas to have on the terrace or to take away. There’s also a large outdoor seasonal pool and a paddling pool, surrounded by a roomy terrace with beach umbrellas and sun loungers; there's also a playground and a games room with TV, wifi and tables at which to tackle ping pong and pool.

Local attractions

Camping Panorama is in the San Bartolo Nature Park, a peaceful place with plenty of quiet walks and bike rides along its well-kept tracks. Look out for the Renaissance and 18th-century villas dotted among the trees, as well as more usual national park sightings like seabirds, marsh harriers and waterfowl. Or are you after some town and village culture? Heaps of this is in the area: have a look at fab little San Marino, the medieval citadel that’s the world’s smallest republic, San Leo, the spectacular fortress at a precipice’s tip, and Gradara, the ancient town with a double line of medieval walls. For cites, see Ravenna, once the capital city of the Western Roman Empire and a place so scenically ancient it’s now home to eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and Pesaro, capital of the Province of Pesaro and Urbino: sights to see here include the Ducal Palace, the Birthplace of Gioacchino Rossini and the Oliveriani Museum and Library. An equestrian centre, golf, tennis and several beaches are within a short drive of the site.
