Local attractions

In the region your will find plenty of opportunities for mountain walking and hiking as well as paragliding with many dedicated sites nearby allowing you to meet with local clubs during your stay. The region is known for wine and you can indulge in 'oenotourisme', that's wine tourism to you and me, with plenty of vineyards around to visit. Take a trip to Chambéry the capital of the region with castles, a cathedral , museums and plenty of restaurants offering Savoy cuisine. The city's castle is a top spot and if that's your sort of thing then we bet you'll enjoy the castle at Miolan and Fort Barraux. There are plenty of lakes offering great swimming spots in summer and Sainte Hélène lake is a fishing hotspot for keen anglers.
