Situated in Ardèche Verte, Camping les Foulons is a family campsite with a swimming pool and beautiful green riverside location in the Doux Valley. This varied site will delight food lovers as it is themed around the delicious food and wine the area is famous for, with many parts of the site named after grape varieties and famous wines of the Rhône valley! You can even sample some ‘picodon’ (a local goats cheese speciality), together with chestnut cream, and what better way to wash it all down than with a glass of house wine?

On site, as well as the swimming pool, you will also find playgrounds, a games room with table football and various games, a volleyball court, a football pitch, a bowling ground and ping-pong tables. We also have a laundry room at your disposal.

To make the most of your holiday, Camping Les Foulons offers plenty for the whole family to take part in. Sports competitions (football, volleyball, aquatic basketball etc.), bowling tournaments, activities for children, drawing contests, musical evenings, karaoke, canoeing evenings in the pool, and board game evenings are just a few of the activities available.

Local attractions

The Ardèche region offers a rich, natural landscape and is known as the region of chestnuts and goat cheese. Hiking route starting points are situated nearby and the marked-out tracks offer various circuits to discover the local landscape. Alternatively bikes can be hired locally so that your family can enjoy an active day out in Ardèche or anglers can try fishing in the river.

Local sites include the Pont d'Arc which is a natural stone bridge formed by the Ardèche river, the Alembic museum in St. Désirat and la Grotte Chauvet which is a local cave known for its ancient cave drawings. You can also visit Le Safari Peaugres animal park where you can see animals roaming in an open environment. Take a trip on the Mastrou steam train that runs through the 'chocolate city' of Gorges de la Vallée du Doux - here you will find an array of delights and new flavours!

The nearby town of Tournon is located at the confluence of the Doux and Rhône rivers. It is situated at an altitude of 123m and is in the heart of the Rhône valley, between the hillsides of St Joseph and Hermitage. Here you can discover local delicacies such as orchard fruit (apples, apricots, peaches, cherries) and farm cheeses (tommes, St Félicien, picodons) as well as many different varieties of pork meat from the mountains. Tournon is a town full of history and is well-known for the Vivarais rail track, the famous road cycle race, 'l' Ardèchoise', and for TRIGANO, which is the European leader in the manufacture of caravans and campervans.
