Staff were friendly and most spoke English. The toilets and showers were clean, and showers where hot. Shop was reasonably priced. Could go swimming whatever the weather. Sand park was good, I f the sun was shining. Lovely little town down the road, with a steam rain. Great campsite for kids my 3 year old loved it!

    Disliked:

You couldn't pay cash you had to pre load a card and use that, which was ok but if it ran out and reception was shut you had no way of loading it. There were activities in the evenings/days for the kids club, but it was not very clear about what was going on and the times. We only knew due to other campers telling us. If the weather is raining then there's not much to do apart from swim.

On-site shop provided all the day to day necessities.
Swimming pool is excellent for kids, indoor, outdoor and kids pool.

    Disliked:

Would benefit from family shower rooms in all blocks.

    The pool

    Disliked:

Our pitch was not very good for a tent. Lots of sand and dust meaning the tent was filthy inside & all of our belongings within 10 minutes. Staff were rude and didnt want to help at all. In the middle of no where, so if you were like us with no transport then there was no where to eat near by. On site restaurants were closed most of the time and only opened for very short periods. Not a lot on the menu either

Excellent site for family holidays. Facilities basic but clean. 10/09/2016

    Swimming pools.
Good activities for children on site but be ready to dodge four seater bikes and peddled go karts as they whizz around the site!
Good restaurants and take away on site.

    Disliked:

Some electric hook ups just a cable appearing out of ground with socket fixed.
Basic facilities, clean but lacking. WC area had no hand washing / drying / soap available.
On arrival staff not very efficient. Had asked to be near facilities as my wife is disabled but we're some way away. Allowed us to move but but declined several chosen pitches saying the were booked. Only two were occupied during our stay and then only for one night.
Staff gave no assistance regarding disabled facilities. We used what we thought was the disabled shower. It was larger than the others but had no disabled equipment, no hooks for clothing and no shelf to place shampoo etc.
We were told to try newer block. We had to drive to it. Still no proper facilities.
Last day of holiday, told by camper of disabled facilities hidden behind office and a vast distance from caravan pitches. Staff made no mention of them.
When spoke to staff, they just said 'sorry'. Clearly the young staff had no concept of disabled requirements and we're poorly briefed.
Despite being advertised with a bar. They decided to close it 6 days before the site was due to close.
Free WiFi advertised but only in bar area. Service so poor it became a joke with people trying to use it. Did get recepton sometimes but much better to go to McDonald's just down the road.

Local attractions

The Picardy region is filled with history and cultural attractions. There is a wealth of medieval sites, churches and World War landmarks and memorials to visit. The campsite is only two kilometres from Saint Valery sur Somme, a medieval town which has been painted by famous artists such as Degas, Bourdin and Seurat.

Within a short distance is the natural park land of Le Parc du Marquenterre which is home to many different wildlife species making it a birdwatchers' paradise. Another hotspot in the region for nature lovers is La Baie de Somme which is rich in dunes and marshlands that welcome migrating birds every year and offers wonderful views. Take in La Baie de Somme in style and take a trip on the traditional miniature railway which runs trips around the bay.

La Parc Salomon is a local treetop climbing course suitable for family days out and there are numerous boat trips to be found on the canals and rivers of the Picardy region. It's also a wonderfully flat landscape making it popular with cyclists. Cycle rides are possible for everyone at Domaine de Drancourt and in the surrounding countryside or along the Baie de Somme.
