Excellent stay with clean facilities, very friendly staff, Will return 05/09/2016

We liked this camp site very much. Eric and Pierre were very friendly and made our stay even more enjoyable. The Pool area was very clean and we always managed to find sunbeds even though it was the middle of August. The site is very quite at night and feels very safe as there is a security guard on duty. The facilities were clean and well maintained. We would definitely return to this campsite.

    Disliked:

It would be good to have a bigger choice of food on the bar menu.

Not quite four star site 04/09/2016

The camp site is well located, flat and has a good selection of three pools.

    Disliked:

The camp site is split into three parts, two are across the road from the pools, reception shop &c.

The ground was too hard to get pegs in to even with a mallet - we know that in summer the ground will be hard, but the previous site was fine.

Unusually for a French camp site the pitch didn't have any shade.

We were on the 'overflow' bit of the camp site, where most of the English visitors seems to have been put. There was only facilities block and that only had one shower, toilet and sink - far too little for the number of pitches on that bit of the site. Also this is the first camp site we've stayed at in France for a long time where there the water wasn't hot all the time. In the end we took to walking to the block in the next field which was up to normal French standards.

Overall, and despite the good pools, this mean that the site was a disappointment for us and didn't feel like the four star camp site experience that we were hoping and paying for.

Excellent camp site, would highly recommend.Clean and good size pitch. 27/08/2016

Everything the site had to offer from the friendly staff to the well kept pools, and hygiene facilities. The pool size was good that you could see you children where ever they were, without being by there side. Again would highly recommend.

    Disliked:

Would be better if the evening entertainment started earlier as 9pm is later for little ones.

Excellent site...Clean with good facilities 24/08/2016

  • Liked:

The pitches are flat and fairly shady and adequately, if not generously sized. There is reasonable privacy between pitches, too.
The facilities are pretty good. Kids playground is OK and the bouncy castle a positive boon. It would have been nice to have a few more bits of equipment such as swings, though.
The swimming pools are tremendously good with both indoor and outdoor pools, a play pool (outdoors), Jacuzzi (indoors) and a set of slides (outdoors).

It is close to the excellent Sauveterre beach and forest and accessible to most major attractions in the area.

    Disliked:

The (stupid) pool rules...no shorts (not even swimming shorts) and no drinks or food in the pool area.
The toilet/shower facilities were only adequate in quantity and they seem to like cleaning them in the morning when a shower and toilet are the main requirements and again in the late afternoon.
The café/shop is an emergency only use! The food is OK, but the variety is very poor. The items for sale are again extremely limited and the bread, whilst good, is extremely expensive.
This wouldn't be an issue if there was a decent shop even close by...there isn't, though.
No WiFi...certainly none that was usable!

Loved the feel of the site, it felt safe and welcoming. We stayed for three weeks and took our own old caravan. There is a good mix of van, tents and statics on site as well as nationalities. Ideally located to visit Le Sable, Apremont, La Rochelle, and wonderful beaches nearby. The site was clean, the staff friendly, and the site had a bar and take away which did have limited opening times. The indoor and outdoor pool were great and we would happily stay there again.

    Disliked:

The site was small which is what we were looking for, but a park or playing field for the children would have been nice, there was a little one but it was for 8 years and under. Had to time the use of the showers otherwise they could be cold.

Well tended and well laid out, with plenty of trees and hedges separating all pitches. Pleasant intermix of tents, caravans/campervans and mobile homes. Swimming pools excellent. Good hot showers, almost always available without queuing or overcrowding.

    Disliked:

Limited entertainment and kids club. Not within walking distance of shops or town centre. Very limited supply of paper and no soap in bathrooms. Seats not provided to most toilets. Small playground with limited equipment.

We liked the friendly, family run, smaller site atmosphere. The site was small/medium sized with good facilities - pools, slides, night time entertainment, table tennis, children's play areas, bike hire and good sanitary facilities. The site is in a great area close to a quaint town, not far form marsh land, forest and beaches, lots of different landscapes to explore. There was also a night security man we was always on hand to make you feel safe and he even helped us out when we arrived a lot later than planned on our first night. Once we showed him our proof of booking he set us up with a pitch for the night until the office opened in the morning. We have a lovely stay and would recommend this site to others.
