Nice woodland site, lots of space but look elsewhere first 22/08/2017

Pool with it's fun slides was an absolute hit with our 14,12&10 year olds.
The woodland feel of the campsite, plenty of space with pitches dispersed throughout the trees.
Being able to reserve bread and pastries each day from the shop.
    Friendly staff.
Showers were reliable with plenty of hot water

    Disliked:

The communal facilities really do need some investment, they are very basic and shabby. no toilet seats took some getting used to!
The washing up room also contains cubicles for camper van toilets to be emptied, not sure how hygienic this Is and certainly made me feel uneasy about doing my washing up there.

Really relied on the car to get around, not really suitable to walk anywhere from here.

The noise late at night, it could go on till 2am and was not managed as no staff were on site at night it seemed.

    Wifi very poor

It was pretty and in a good location.

We wanted something a bit old fashioned without loads of mod cons, the lack of toilet roll and lifeguards was absolutely fine as we were prepared for it.

Shady pitches so not suitable if you want to be sunbathing at your tent but really sunny down by the pool and the shade was cool to sleep in.

    Disliked:

It's just not suitable for families as they allow large groups of unsupervised teens and young adults to make noise until 5am at nights with no intervention.

3 of our 7 nights we got no sleep and neither did other campers around us who were as disappointed as us.

When we tried to bring it up with staff, the woman on reception heard our complaint and then her phone rang and she answered it and took a booking rather than dealing with us. She was on the phone so long without acknowledging we were mid conversation that we just walked out of the campsite.

We liked the fact that the site was in a wood, the pool looked great but we didn't use it. We came end of season and picked our own pitch.

    Disliked:

We disliked the toilet block. We stayed 3 nights and it was not cleaned, we appreciate it was end of season but cleanliness is something I am really picky about.

beautiful pine forest pitches, very basic sanitary blocks, great pool 22/08/2016

Think 1970's/80's camping with your parents in Europe and this is exactly what you get. The pitches are fairly private and large and in a pine forest. I would say it was a French campsite aimed at French tourists though there were a few other nationalities occasionally there. For us this was part of the charm. The pool was fantastic couldn't get the kids out of it. There is a place to play boules and table tennis a rudimentary park and football/basketball pitch outdoors. Loved the fact there was no pretentious attitudes and really just a lovely slow relaxed atmosphere.

    Disliked:

The toilet blocks are VERY basic. no toilet roll separate basin cubicles and no soap or drying facilities. There is a washing machine but only two on site and never any tokens available it seems which you have to get in the morning. If you are travelling on somewhere or arrived from somewhere you need to take that into account. There is no dryer so pray the weather is good. Very little English is spoken and all the entertainment is in French, as I said before it is marketed to French tourism so don't expect kids clubs etc.
