- Peaceful natural park site near Guérande and beaches
- Mini farm, private fishing lake, wellbeing area and spa
- Snack bar, outdoor gym, water zorbing and bouncy castle
This site is in smashing setting. Camping de l'Étang du Pays Blanc near the Loire-Atlantique's medieval town of Guérande (that's smashing setting factor numéro un), is also near La Baule beach, the harbours of the Croisic and La Turballe, in the Brière Regional National Park and within an hour of Nantes...
It also covers four areas of peaceful land, in a natural setting with trees that have been here, before you, for a century. And! It has a mini farm to take the kids to, and a private fishing lake, and – of course – a pool: covered, heated and open from spring to autumn.
And! It has a spa and wellbeing area with a Jacuzzi and sauna. And outdoor gym equipment, water zorbing, ping pong tables and table football, a volleyball court, a play area, a trampoline and a bouncy castle…
And yet more… weary cooks are well considered at Camping de l'Étang du Pays Blanc too, as a snack bar is open every day during the summer holidays and at weekends and holidays at all other times, and is where hungry sorts will find regional specialties, takeaway meals, fresh bread and pastries and more.
Regular entertainment like karaoke, bingo, dance and music evenings and late night swimming at the pool runs in high season, along with sporting events and competitions during these months including water polo, football and pétanque tournaments. And if you're around on a summer Sunday (of course you will be, you're staying for at least two weeks), welcome drinks are held on these evenings for guests to meet up for a guzzle and a goss.
Find nearby sites with availability…
Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.

Follow the four-lane motorway (D47) towards St Nazaire, then follow the signs for La Baule-Guérande. Just after Saint-Nazaire on this road, take the first exit towards St André des Eaux - Zone de Brais. Follow the D47 for 10km towards Herbignac and St Lyphard. This will bring you to Sandun. After the sign for 'Sandun' at the town entrance, take the first road on the left called la rue des Chênes. 500 metres down this road you will see Camping de l'Étang du Pays Blanc on your left.
Come off the E60/N165 when you see the exit for La Roche Bernard and Herbignac. Go through La Roche Bernard, then Herbignac and St Lyphard and follow the signs for St André des Eaux. After about 6km you will arrive at the Sandun area. When you are coming out of the village, take the road on your right called la rue des Chênes. 500 metres down this road you will see Camping de l'Étang du Pays Blanc.
As mightbe from the site's setting, rather a lot will be found to see and do in the many topping areas around Camping de l'Étang du Pays Blanc. Guérande peninsula waters first? Go for the sands of La Baule and Pornichet and the harbours of the Croisic and La Turballe, all popular spots in the region.
The site is near the Morbihan region of Brittany where you can follow the course of the Vilaine river, meander around the Morbihan gulf and its areas such as Penestin and Arzal, and jet around the waters of its many islands. Boat trips to the likes of Belle-Île-en-Mer, Houät or Hoëdic can be arranged from La Turballe or Le Croisic.
Inland, the Brière Regional National Park is one of the largest marshland areas in France (after the Camargue), covering about 50,000 of watery ground including a couple of thousand hectares of salt marsh. Among this expanse are the 30 hectares of Sandun lake, a prime spot for fishing.
The Château des Ducs and many other historical sites of Nantes are about an hour away.
