Good stopover site 24/07/2017

  • Liked:

It is a very good stopover site, very close to the motorway to or from Calais. Just outside the small, pretty town centre and there is a huge supermarket and retail park down the road with cheap fuel. The price is very reasonable and the site is actually ok it is just the washrooms that let it down. They are clean but just very old. The toilet block light didn't work either, not ideal later on when dark.

    Disliked:

    Washrooms and toilets need updating

Kiosk serving food and drinks most welcome after arriving late.
Friendly understanding staff when we were late (twice!).
Perfect for our overnight stop on way to/from long trip to Italy.

    Disliked:

Nothing really. There was some festival going on in town so the site was packed and we didn't get a pitch with electric that we had booked. But we were late arriving and the staff found us a spot that was ok for our overnight stop. We weren't charged for electric. Can't complain really.

Nice pop up Champagne bar 01/08/2016

For a 1 night stop over this is a nice little site. The sanitary area's are clean and well maintained. The snack bar is excellent, the food simple but lovely, the beer cold and the guy behind the counter very nice. The best bit was the little champagne bar that opened up in the evening selling the local produce, very reasonable prices and very good quality.

    Disliked:

We had booked a tent pitch with electric hook up. When we arrived we were given a hard standing pitch which meant it was physically impossible to get the pegs in the ground.

Also the electric hookup hadn't got a modern day 110 volt socket - just the standard euro socket. The office seemingly did have adaptors that could be borrowed but had run out, then promptly recommended a shop that sold them - who DIDN'T sell them.
