  • A small, family-run riverside site set on a Périgord cattle farm
  • Hundreds of kilometres of mountain biking, walking and cycling trails
  • Farm tours by arrangement with the owners, fishing and a swing set

Camping au Moulin de Feuyas is a riverside site set on a cattle farm five kilometres from Thiviers, sandwiched between the Perigord-Limousin Regional Natural Park and the wide open countryside of the Périgord Vert. The area has hundreds of kilometres of mountain biking, cycling and walking trails, and the landscape of the Périgord Vert is scattered with castles, caves, lakes and forests.

The site has heated washrooms with showers and toilets and a shared washing-up area. Free wifi is available on site, and there's an internet point that guests can use too.

You can arrange with Maïté and Guy, the owners of Camping au Moulin de Feuyas, to take you on a walking tour of the farm to see their Limousin cattle and feed breadcrumbs to the free roaming hens. Kids can go fishing in the shallows near the river's four metre-high waterfall or play on the swings under the acacia trees.

About a kilometre away from the site there's greenway that and stretches 17 kilometres along an abandoned 19th-century railway line and is well shaded by oak, pine and acacia trees, linking Thiviers to Saint-Pardoux-la-Rivière via Milhac-de-Nontron and Saint-Jean-de-Côle.

There are lots of farmers and night markets in the area around Camping au Moulin de Feuyas, as well as museums, traditional French villages and heritage buildings such as the 16th-century Château de Puyguilhem.

Everything! The setting is idyllic with the waterfall beside you and chickens and donkeys roaming around. The owners are friendly and it is a small and quiet site that suits us perfectly. The most reasonably priced campsite that we visited (and we visited a lot!)
It is perfectly situated for exploring the Dordogne. St-Jean-de-Cole was stunning as was Brantome.
