Set in the beautiful rolling countryside of mid Wales on a 10-acre smallholding only six miles from Welshpool, Strawberry Skys is the perfect setting for a yurt holiday or weekend break. Being situated at the 'Gateway to Wales', our location is also ideal as a stop-off point for exploring the rest of Wales.

Our three yurts are situated apart from each other in a secluded one-and-a-half-acre field which is scattered with willow and cherry tree so there is plenty of space for you to enjoy the surroundings, relax and get away from it all.

You can chill out by the yurts and star gaze at night by your own fire pit. Or make us your base and use our superb location to explore the surrounding area and further afield where you will find good walking/hiking with plenty to see and do.

Terms and conditions

Please read the park terms and conditions below and the terms and conditions.

Additional terms

All prices are for the whole yurt, not per person and include all your wood for the woodburners and campfires, firelighters, matches and tea lights.

All yurts are non-smoking.

Adult groups must be 21 and over.

Strictly no hen/stag parties.

We regret that we cannot accept dogs, or other pets and no exceptions will be granted.

Please be advised that this not a party site, out of respect for other guests and our neighbours we do not permit amplified music at any time and noise after 11pm must be kept to a minimum (ie quiet talking around the yurt campfire). If you wish to be noisy please choose another site.

Please see below for the essentials you will need to bring:

Pillows and sleeping bags/duvets, sheets, towels for the shower, wellies and at least one good torch. As lighting in the yurts is fairly low level you may wish to bring some additional battery powered lanterns, especially if you book during the winter months, if you plan on doing any reading or for sitting outside the yurt after dark. We also recommend you bring slippers, or other easy to kick off footwear as we do not allow shoes or boots to be worn inside the Yurts.

Please note we do not provide charcoal for the BBQ’s.

Arrival & Departure

Your yurt will be ready from 2pm, unless we have agreed otherwise, and we strongly advise you arrive before dark. As we are a working smallholding and do not have a reception we request that you let us know your approximate arrival time at least one day before you travel and advise us on the day if you are going to be later than planned. Please vacate your yurt by 11am on the day of departure unless otherwise agreed.

Campsite Karma & Other Stuff

As the shower, loo, kitchen areas are shared we ask you to please clean up after yourself and try to accommodate the usage of others.

We are a relaxed quiet site and do not allow amplified music at any time. All noise must be kept to a minimum after 11pm.

Outdoor shoes must not be worn inside the yurt, for this reason we advise you to bring wellies or other easy to kick off footwear.

We are happy for you to arrange any of the benches and furniture as you wish but request that you leave your yurt exactly as you found it at the end of your holiday; this includes putting up any of the futons that have been put down for extra guests.

We do not ask for a damages deposit as the majority of our guests are careful and we do understand that sometimes accidents happen. However, if you do break or damage anything we would ask that you report it to us immediately, so that we can make arrangement to replace or repair it for the next guests. We will only charge for replacement in exceptional cases.

General Safety

Each yurt has a smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, fire extinguisher an fireguard. We also provide heat resistant gloves for loading the stove.
Only the candles in lanterns provided by us are allowed inside the yurt, although you may wish to bring battery lanterns for extra light, especially when the days are shorter.

Campfires are to be attended at all times and must be kept small and manageable.

Parents and/or guardians are expected to supervise their children at all times.

We take every care to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable holiday, but cannot be held liable for any accidents or consequential loss.
