  • Quiet wildlife haven by the River Ithon
  • Peaceful and sheltered setting with free fishing on site
  • Licensed bar with Welsh beers, malt whiskies and more
Now this is a site that's fully in tune with its surroundings... peaceful and sheltered Disserth Caravan and Camping Park is in a wildlife haven on the banks of the River Ithon, where red kites and buzzards hover overhead and where you might catch a glimpse of the resident otter or kingfisher. Grayling trout fishing is available on site too and is free for guests; just remember to bring your rod licence. Junior explorers enjoy seeing what they can uncover in the depths with a net here as well; no licence required. (If angling's your thing, this is the area for it: the River Ithon is a tributary of the mighty River Wye, one of the best spots in the country for fishing and visited by anglers the world over to land salmon and trout from its waters.) Disserth Caravan and Camping Park is also quite in tune with what guests might fancy on hol, as it has a licensed bar with a good selection of Welsh beers and malt whiskies, as well as soft drinks, tea and coffee. Its well-kept amenities are in a modern log cabin with individual rooms, all with a toilet and washbasin and most also with a shower. Laundry and dishwashing facilities are also on site.

Electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: A perfect bucolic site with the babbling Ithon in the background. Everything was very neat and tidy, the pitches are of an excellent size and coped well with the deluge of rain. Lovely church literally next door with its original box pews from the 1600's. The owners are lovely, full of information and friendly in the bargain. Thanks for a relaxing stay

Liked: Lovely peaceful clean campsite. Only thing we could hear was birds and river, bliss (and husband snoring🙄) Red kites flying above and lots of different birds, ducks swimming down river past our MH 😁 owners away but welcomed by the lovely lady looking after the site with husband 😊 nice walk with dogs up wooded mountain, dogs loved it, pity weather was not better. Pitch plenty large enough with ehu and water. View with River behind us and Chapel directly infront. Showers lovely and clean and nice hot water. Lovely little extremely interesting old chapel you can go in and visit. Hopefully will return in near future. As we much prefer these small privately owned campsite

Liked: Nice quite site tucked away so no road noise, our pitch was next to the river so nice background noise. Ground was wet (to be expected this time of year) but well maintained, site staff kept on top of areas where the odd car had churned up by cutting a corner.

Electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Greeted by friendly owners who showed us to our pitch. The site is lovely. So many birds feeding from the feeders on the statics. Was a joy to see. The toilets and showers were spotlessly clean. We really enjoyed it. The river is just at the bottom of the site. There are plenty of walks as we have a dog this was great. The church is really old and worth a look at. All in all perfect!

Disliked: Nothing.
