  • Holidays in a woodland and grass paddock; campfires allowed
  • Tenby, Saundersfoot and Folly Farm within a 20-minute drive
  • Direct access to the Landsker Trail; three miles from the coast path
In a couple of acres of young woodland, 10 minutes’ drive from the coast, and with easy access to a main road for jaunts further afield, it's easy to see why owners Penny and Jon picked this prime Pembrokeshire spot just outside Llanteg to set up their home. Next to come along was Moon Dance Glamping and Camping, a peaceful and quiet setting for your holidays near the sea. The hosts are on-hand to help you settle in. They’ll do whatever they can to help you relax, whether it’s sharing their knowledge of the area or of the local wildlife. Begin by unwinding in a woodland glade with the sounds of birds and the breeze (there's lots of room among the natural meadow and wildflowers) or by wandering around the woodland paths on site. Maybe you'll get lucky enough to spot the sparrowhawks and peregrines hunting. Well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you on your break, and feel free to bring along a firepit too (although guests can easily hire a firepit and purchase wood from the site). All of the pitches at Moon Dance Glamping and Camping have their own private composting toilet. As for communal facilities, there's a washing-up area, a hot-water shower and an eco-friendly composting bin for dog droppings. Guests are also welcome to park by their pitch. Keen to embark on some long-distance walks? The Landsker Trail runs right past the site, and the gorgeous Pembrokeshire Coast Path is about three miles away.

Moonlight non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Penny and Jon were exceptional hosts: welcoming, kind (lent us a dog bed for example) and really looked after us. The site is beautiful and secluded and very quiet. The facilities are squeaky clean and we loved the extra touches (herbs, flowers, penny’s Welsh cakes). The area is stunning too. We’d love to come back.

Strawberry bell tent

Liked: Seclusion of the wood. Cleanliness Lots of lovely little touches like fresh wild flowers, condiments, welcome basket, natural bug repellent, fairy lights, fresh garden veg and fresh eggs, hammocks for star gazing. Friendly, welcoming owners (nothing too much trouble, even the option for spider rescues if needed)

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: We are so pleased you had a good time despite the somewhat inclement weather. It was lovely to meet you both and we are delighted that the spiders behaved, so no rescues were needed! All the best, Penny and Jon. 😊

Moonshadow non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Disliked: Nothing to dislike

Moonshadow non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Fantastic friendly hosts who do everything they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible, including marshmallows on your first night and flapjacks! Good clear communication throughout the stay, and many friendly chats. We felt welcome and right at home. The area is clean and extremely well presented. The amenities are clean and in a great condition, well thought through, including everything you need during your stay. Advice and information available with the fridge/freezer including local tide times and weather reports! The meadow is beautifully well kept, with spacious pitches on a spacious field with ample parking and even a cold water tap. We had an 8 berth tent and barely used a 3rd of the pitch! The logs available (£5 for 8kg) are fantastic, dried well and burnt easy alongside the provided firepit/BBQ. The kit comes with firelighters and kindling with were exceptional for a toasty fire every night. Cannot wait to stay again. We stayed for 6 nights and were comfortable from start to finish.Thank you Penny, Jon and Koda (woof, woof) from S, G&I

Disliked: Absolutely no faults, wish we had stayed longer.

From the manager: What a thoughtful and kind review, thank you! We absolutely loved having you as guests at MoonDance, especially as you really understood the Leave No Trace motto we have adopted. We would love to see you both and beautiful Isabelle again at any time. All the best, Jon and Penny 😊

Strawberry bell tent

Liked: MoonDance Glamping & Camping Secluded, peaceful and surrounded by nature, what more could you want ? A bell tent with a fire, hot water shower, solar charging points, everything you need in the outdoor covered kitchen, a sitting area and plenty of logs for a night time fire, all the beaches of Pembroke surrounding you, free range eggs, acres of woods, homemade Welsh cakes on arrival and perfect hosts. Why haven’t I found this little gem before ? For anyone wanting all of this ready and waiting on arrival this is the perfect place.

Moonlight non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Penny and Jon care!…… and that’s what makes this such a great environment to stay in. The facilities have been well planned and even though simple they are eco friendly and all you need. The loo was just for us to use which was great and the shower was only to share with one other party, but we had the meadow to ourselves. Everything was immaculately clean! A fridge with small freezer area was useful. Washing up area with hot water and recycling area was discreet and personal to the meadow people! We loved the sandy beaches when the weather allowed and Narberth was a lovely little town with great independent shops with a cosmopolitan feel. We had breakfasts in Oh Crumbs! and Ultracomida (a wonderful Italian Deli). Loads of info about the area offered in print and by Penny. They say people make the place and our hosts and the welcoming Welsh locals made it for us. Definitely Happy Campers even with the usual U.K. climate😄

From the manager: Thank you for your kind comments! You were wonderful guests and we would welcome you back anytime. So glad you liked Narberth, we love this beautiful little town with it's variety of shops and cafes. It goes without saying that the Pembrokeshire beaches are just amazing! All the best, Penny and Jon.

Local attractions

Pembrokeshire’s a place where you can pack your days full of activity or keep things slow-paced as you prefer. If you’re planning on the former, you might like to start with a very short walk (just a minute or so) to Aim Country Sports to hone your weaponry skills with indoor archery, aerial archery and (gulp) axe throwing. If you’re not up for hurling dangerous objects about, try less peril-filled days out at The Secret Owl Garden or Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo – both are within a 15-minute drive. Down to the coast is a must, at some point – adventure-seekers can sign up for more challenges on a coasteering trip from Tenby (20 minutes’ drive) while those looking for something a little more sedate can sort fishing trips in the harbour, ramble along the coast path or settle on one of the town's beaches for sandcastles and ice creams. Saundersfoot and the seven-mile Pendine Sands are also within a 20-minute drive for more beach action.
