Electric grass tent or campervan pitch
Liked: Greeted by Vicki as soon as I arrived and shown me around. Love that I had my own toil & the shower was excellent. Only 2 electric pitches so it was nice and quiet, slept well waiting to do ironman Wales. Also a nice touch as woke up to find fresh eggs outside my tent as its a working small holding/farm. No wifi however good signal three mobile.

The Hive cabin (four person)
Liked: Literally everything was perfect. Vicki meet us on arrival and showed us round. Gave us plenty of local information on places to visit ,eat etc. Honestly just a lovely lovely person. It felt as if we'd known Vicki for years! The Hive is just magical. It's cosy yet plenty of space. Travelling group of 2 adults 1 teen and two collie dogs. Lovely little arrival refreshments & biscuits for the dogs. Plenty of logs for the fire, which was soooo cosy by night. Everything in and around The Hive was spotless and it has such a homily feel to it. We were blown away by the beauty of the enclosed garden & field walk. Perfect for the dogs and stretching the legs in the morning It was mainly beach walks and paddleboarding for us. The location is fabulous. Only a short drive to a number of beaches. Saundersfoot is lovely for a look around the shops and restaurants . One night we sat out on the decking watching the stars it was simply the perfect end to the day. Really looking forward to returning.

Liked: Well kept field we booked the 2 pitches with other family members. Scenic view of the woods and fields beyond from the pitches. Toilets, shower and washing area immaculate. Enjoyable evenings watching the kids play in the field , having family bbqs, s’mores around our fire pit and watching the stars in the clear night sky. Perfect get away from the hustle and bustle of life and spend quality time with the family 🤩 thank you to host Vicki and her family for all their hard work 🥰 definitely will return and highly recommend
Disliked: Maybe a few more little solar lights around the facilities other than that nothing else! Keep doing what you’re doing 💕🏴

Liked: Everything. The place is secluded enough to be away from the noises of the road and other campsites, but close enough to the motorway, shops, and some great locations. The toilets and the shower are almost brand new and super clean. The host os welcoming but not intrusive. The place is tiny so you feel like on a private trip (almost) I put wifi as 5* as to not affect the total rating but we never used it and I don't even know if its available on site - the mobile coverage was pretty good.

Liked: If your looking for a little haven you will not fall short at Thorny Bush. Set deep in the Pembrokeshire countryside is this lovely site with fantastic views across the valley. With only 2 pitches it creates a more personal experience and if you book up both like we did you have the whole place to yourself to create your home for the week. There is electric hook up for both pitches and this more than adequate for your needs. Both pitches are a good size and have a separate toilet for each one. Toilet and showers are little wooden shacks just up from the pitches. If your thinking a wooden shack is not your thing, think again. The shower has a proper shower base and is extremely clean (no shower shoes needed) and the toilets are also sparkling and I love the added touch of vinyl on the floor to make it feel more like a bathroom. Huge sink round the back with draining boards on both sides is perfect for washing dishes. The site has dark skies on a clear night and there is no noise pollution either unless you include the noise from Cluckingham Palace and the sites resident hen population who provide fresh eggs every morning in the honesty shop on site. Also sold is a fantastic selection on jams and chutneys along with fresh veg which has been grown all over the site. The host Vicki is lovely, always made sure we had everything we needed and even provided me with some of her fresh mint which she had grown on the site. Vicki's family also live on site and are very friendly and make you feel like your part of the family. Last but not least we need to give a special mention to Sid the dog who came to say good morning everyday. Can't wait to book up again.

Electric grass tent or campervan pitch
Liked: Beautiful peaceful and scenic campsite with lots of lovely touches. Having your own (very clean) toilet assigned to your pitch and right by is a game changer. Amazing hosts who are there when you need them but otherwise leave you to it. Our 7 year old son loved exploring the fields and woods and all the space to play football. We all loved Sid the dog and the chickens who are fabulous neighbours. Would absolutely recommend and we will definitely return soon.
Disliked: Nothing at all.

Liked: The camp site was great. Just two pitches with your own toilet for each pitch and a shower as well as sink around the back to do your washing up. Vicki has an honesty shop there and the hens you see to the left of the two pitches lay the most amazing eggs. You can also get jams and marmalade. We stayed for a week and had plenty to do in the vicinity. There were a number of local beaches, with lovely sand and a couple had small caves and rock pools to explore. We also visited dinosaur world, which for the six of us was about £90 to get into (our 2yo was free) but the rides were really good and included VR for the older kids as well as go karts, mini hover crafts and ride on triceratops (two of them and the only thing you had to pay for when you got in at £1 a ride). We had a day at Pembroke Castle, where my 11yo loved the tour so much she went around it twice. There is a cave under the castle where they have found evidence of residence 40,000 years ago. Really couldn’t fault anything will certainly be going back to Thorny Bush in the future.
