  • Peaceful site with stunning views
  • Part of the countryside village of Cross Inn, on Cardigan Bay
  • Between Aberaeron (15 minutes' drive) and Aberystwyth (30 minutes)
Cardigan Bay connoisseurs – which should be everyone – will have a convenient pitching place at Ceredigion’s Brynarian Caravan Park: it’s only 10 minutes’ drive from here to spectacular coastline and clean waters for days of sunbathing, rockpooling, swimming, jetskiing… and possibly looking for a crab or two. That coastline 10 minutes’ drive away is at Aberarth, on the Cardigan coast halfway between Aberystwyth half an hour to the north and Aberaeron within 15 minutes to the south. New Quay, half an hour away, should also be high up on your destination list, for peaceful days at the harbour and arty souvenirs from the shops in town. Inland, spectacular Devil's Bridge is within 35 minutes and Machynlleth is 50 minutes away, just at the southern edge of Snowdonia National Park. Brynarian Caravan Park is on the edge of the rural Cardigan coast village of Cross Inn, set on several acres of flat land. It has showers, toilets and chemical disposal, and allows dogs.

Local attractions

Sightseeing and adventuring is very much coastal based around this part of Ceredigion, with weeks’ worth of activities and attractions around beaches, watersports, coastal walks and coastal towns and villages. Start off at the closest coastal village, Aberarth, for a surfing beach and access to the Wales Coast Path, then drive south for 15 minutes to Aberaeron to get on the Ceredigion Coast Path or the Dylan Thomas Trail, or (and) to pick up the town’s honey ice cream. Aberystwyth (30 minutes) is a must-visit, to roam around the National Library of Wales, have a picnic at its handsome harbour and have an evening at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre. Another must-do is a trip to Devil’s Bridge, one of the most famed sights in Wales: take the cliff railway all the way up to the camera obscura for spectacular views over Cardigan Bay. Urban areas well worth a look include the handsome market towns of Llandysul and Newcastle Emlyn, both 40 minutes away; Llanybydder (30 minutes) for its famed horse fair, and Cenarth (45 minutes) for its waterfalls and ancient coracle boats. Cardigan is 55 minutes away.
