Bryn Parc is situated in the Teifi Valley. In beautiful west Wales, we are in the heart of a salmon- and trout-fishing area, and there are plenty of watersports activities in the picturesque village of Llandysul just three miles away. The area is great for walking and cycling (there is a Sustrans route a few metres away), and it's just a short drive to the countless beaches on the Cardigan Bay coastline and the coastal path, from where you may see Cardigan Bay's famous dolphins.
The wildlife and sights here are spectacular: wake up to the calls and whistles of red kites and buzzards, see the night time visits by badgers, foxes and owls, and look out upon the far-reaching hills in the distance. There is no light pollution in this area, so on clear nights the Milky Way can be a stunning sight.
Morgan the shepherd's hut is a cosy little retreat perfect for couples with a double memory foam mattress, and pillows, sheet, duvet and towels all supplied. There is plenty of storage for clothes and anything else you may bring under the bed and in the old pine cupboards, and there is a drop-down table with chairs for eating indoors. All cooking and eating utensils are supplied and an electric log burner will keep you warm on chilly nights. Outside you'll find a table and chairs, firepit/barbecue (wood is available to buy on site), a green toilet, gas shower and a covered outdoor kitchen (which includes a gas camping stove) just for Morgan's guests. You need bring nothing other than yourselves and personal items: no packing stress to worry about!
Should you wish to bring along family or friends, there is room to sleep two on the small sofa bed provided or pitch a tent on the grounds of the shepherd's hut paddock. The shepherd's hut is off grid, although there is a battery powered by a photovoltaic panel which you can charge up mobile phones with; this also powers the heater. Lighting is provided by LED battery lights. This all helps to take you away from the hustle of modern life.
For guests after a more traditional canvas-camping experience, Bryn Parc also has a romantic five-metre bell tent in its own paddock with sole access to a green toilet and shower. It is simply furnished with a pine double bed - but airbeds can be provided for extra guests if you wish. For all your cooking needs, there is a firepit/barbecue and a camping gas cooker along with utensils such as cutlery, plates and pans.
Complimentary free-range eggs and homemade jam is our welcome gift to you on your arrival.
Dogs are not allowed inside the shepherd's hut or bell tent. They can sleep in the bathroom or in your car. Tie-out stakes can be provided.
Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
