Everyone, even the cynical, should have a little romance in their lives. Especially if it includes free breakfast (a holiday extra that we have found thaws the icy hearts of the cynical even more than blazing sunsets). If you possess a cynical as a life partner, direct them to this listing, show them the snap of the Teifi Meadows bothy shepherd’s hut, and tell them that by hook or by crook, you must holiday here. And yes, there is free breakfast. And yes, use the term ‘brownie points’ – or ‘doghouse’ – if you have to.
If you prefer going away armed with tent, tourer or motorhome, Teifi Meadows should also warm the cockles of your heart, and the battery of your camera. This is wildlife country – look out for red kites overhead – in the midst of the greenery of the Ceredigion countryside, and close to the walks, dolphin-spotting and beaches of the Ceredigion coast and Cardigan Bay. National Trust sites, River Teifi fishing and canoeing, mountain pony trekking, Roman gold mines and blooming great gardens are in the area too: ask your hosts Jane and Julian for their top sightseeing tips.
The bothy at Teifi Meadows is in a hidden garden bordered by woodland and a stream, with loo and shower facilities – fluffy towels included – in the Ty Bach (little house) alongside. Linen, fridge, kitchen utensils, a gas barbecue and indoor woodburning stove are all included. And yes again, there’s a free breakfast: bothy guests get a breakfast hamper on arrival with free range eggs, scones or cake, and home-produced bacon and sausages. Get the other half to cook it in the morn: it’ll be romantic.
For supper supplies to sort alfresco eats and stargazing, the village of Llanfair Clydogau is about a mile away and has a well-stocked licensed shop as well as a Post Office selling rod licences if you’re plotting to fish on the Teifi. Lampeter, about three miles away, has plenty of food shops, independent stores and a farmers’ market, and the pub at Cellan, also three miles away, serves food and Sunday lunches. Sunday pub lunches are romantic too.

It's now possible to make group bookings on Pitchup.com for up to 30 adults and 30 children.
As long as the 'one unit per pitch' rule is not highlighted on the pitch type information (please check this before completing your booking), you will be able to pitch your tents together on one booking.
If you are not satisfied with the results generated, try breaking your booking down for more options. For example, if you're a group of 10, enter five people for your initial search and book two pitches. Use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together when booking multiple pitches or accommodation units: the campsite or park will try to grant your request.
Before booking, please check the listing page for any group restrictions. These normally appear in a section titled 'Please note'. Please also check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit - especially for a large party - is suitable for the space you will be provided with.
