This new camping and caravanning site is adjacent to the popular family-run Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park, which is located on a stunningly scenic headland and overlooks the nature reserve of Cardigan Island, just 200 yards offshore and clearly viewable from the farm park.
Cardigan Island is home to thousands of nesting sea-birds. It also has a flock of wild Soay sheep, originally from the Isle of Soay, south of Skye, Scotland. A colony of Atlantic grey seals breed in the many caves below the farm park cliffs and can be seen virtually every day. Cardigan Bay's bottlenose dolphins are frequent visitors to the waters surrounding the farm park, particularly during calm weather, when they swim closer to the shore and can be clearly viewed from the farm park.
We have a variety of friendly farm animals including pigs, sheep, goats, rare breed cattle, ponies, chickens, rabbits, ducks, geese and a donkey. We also have a llama, emu and wallaby from far-off lands. There is an outdoor adventure playground and sandpit for the children to enjoy, as well as a large visitors' centre (open daily from 10:00 to 18:00) featuring a café , gift shop and play equipment.
The campsite itself is located on a gentle slope with views over the farm park to the sea. Showers, toilets and indoor dish-washing facilities are on site, with further toilets and baby-changing available in the visitors' centre during opening hours. Campers receive free entry into the farm park.
