Local attractions

As you'll easily see, Cardigan Camping and Touring Caravan Site is in a woolly wicked west Wales location: you could spend weeks in these parts and still have to come back for more. Sandwise, some of the best-regarded beaches and most popular beaches in Wales/all the land are close by, such as Poppit, Mwnt, Aberporth, Llangrannog, Tresaith, Newport and Newquay, and with numerous opps for fishing, coastal hiking, sandcastle comps or taking a tour/boat to spot the local dolphins, porpoise and seals (always a hit with kids). A whirl around Oakwood theme park, an investigation of the Iron Age roundhouses at Castell Henllys fort or a peer at the inhabitants of Cardigan Island Coastal Farm Park are other kid-friendly day outs in the area, and if you're at Narberth for Oakwood you might have to go back another day for the Blue Lagoon Waterpark. Walkwise, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and the Preseli Hills have miles of beaut hikes; more peacefully, have an amble around the village of Cenarth and its waterfalls, or St Dogmaels and its local market.
