Not a morning person? We hear you. (Oh, we hear you.) But we suspect that any grumpy pre-coffee shenanigans will melt away when you surface from your sleeping bag, tourer or motorhome at Pembrokeshire’s Meadow House Holiday Park and get an eyeful of these views: stupendous clifftop scenery across Carmarthen Bay towards Caldey Island and the Isle of Lundy. You might even spot a dolphin or two frolicking about in the waves from your pitch – if the thought of that doesn’t get you up at dawn, nothing will.

Look in the other direction for equally cameraworthy scenes across the Pembrokeshire countryside, or around the park for 16 acres of landscaped grounds with palm trees, shrubs and hedgerows planted to attract local wildlife. Pitches are well laid out for privacy and space, with a grass area for campers and another with a mix of grass and hardstanding pitches for tents, tourers and motorhomes. Amenities include a launderette, washing-up area, water points, loos and showers with free hot water.

As a family-friendly park, entertainment and facilities are blooming, with a heated indoor pool open from 930am – 5pm, family bar with outdoor terrace, games room, amusement arcade and roomy outdoor playground. Some evening entertainment is on in high season; ask what’s available when you book. But as Meadow House is deep in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, less than 15 minutes’ walk from the award-winning sands of Amroth and Saundersfoot, and close to two of Pembrokeshire’s main family attractions – Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm – we suspect you might be making an early morning start. Pass the coffee and drink in the views.

Please note that adult supervision is required in the pool for children under 16.

Terms and conditions

Please read the park terms and conditions below and the terms and conditions.

A contract between you and Celtic Holiday Parks binds you and all members of your party. It is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your party accept the terms of the contract set out in these terms and conditions of booking. Failure to disclose all relevant information or comply with these terms may lead to termination of the contract and loss of the booking.

We try very hard to provide all facilities as advertised. It may, however, be necessary to make some alterations in advance of your holiday. If such change is necessary, we will endeavour to advise you in writing as soon as possible, and give you the options in the cancellation policy.

As an experienced and responsible operator, our aim is to provide all the services and facilities as described in our brochure. Should it be necessary for us to make any major changes to your booking, or in exceptional circumstances cancel your booking, we will endeavour to advise you, and provide the following options:

a) A replacement holiday comparable or superior to the one booked.

b) A replacement holiday together with the difference in price between the holiday and the holiday booked or

c) A full refund

In addition to the above and provided it does not arise from circumstances beyond our control, we will also pay compensation for any provable loss.

Infectious or contagious diseases could easily be passed on to other guests whilst on holiday. You must inform the duty manager should you contract any such illness whilst on holiday. In order to protect our guests and team, anyone found to have such a condition may be confined or requested to leave the park. Please note that, in such circumstances, we are unable to offer refunds, and we therefore recommend that you take out personal insurance.

Certain facilities may have age restrictions. To ensure our guests' enjoyment in the swimming pools, session bathing may occur. The operation of the parks is subject to legislation and the guidelines laid down by the Health & Safety Executive and local authorities and their codes of practice. We accordingly reserve the right to adjust our services in order to meet these standards. It is possible that, in some circumstances, accommodation or a facility may be temporarily withdrawn, due to maintenance, renovation, adverse weather conditions, changes in governmental legislation, or any other factor outside our control. We reserve the right to make such alterations in the above circumstances without prior notice, and are unable to accept liability for the loss of an advertised facility, or to pay compensation for any inconvenience caused. Should changes occur, we will advise of these changes where made prior to booking, and will use reasonable endeavours to advise guests already booked of any changes made thereafter. Certain facilities are subject to additional cost. Parks with fishing as a facility require a rod licence, and additional charges where applicable.

If you feel that you have any comments or complaints whilst on holiday, you should contact the park’s reception during your stay so that we can try to resolve any problems as soon as possible. If, at the end of your holiday, you feel that we have not dealt with your complaint satisfactorily, please write to our guest relations office within 28 days of returning from your holiday. Please write your Holiday reference number and include your daytime and evening telephone numbers. If you do not give us the opportunity to resolve the problem locally by reporting it to the park, we may not be able to deal positively with any complaint on your return. Any complaint must be submitted within 28 days to allow it to be investigated properly.
