My stay at Waltonwest was quiet and peaceful. The facilities were of a good standard, and the camping field was green and grassy, with a few picnic tables around for use. There are fire pits for camper's use, showers are paid, and there is a small outside washing up area. Location was five minutes drive from Little Haven. The owners were friendly, but not intrusive. Overall a pleasant stay.

Great location right by the coast near Little Haven. Facilities were good and clean - although be aware that you need £1 coins for the showers. The campsite had a lovely feel to it, particularly as it's quite small so there's not many other campers.

The fact that we could choose our own pitch, that the site was small, there were mainly families staying and it felt safe for our small children, the owners were friendly and helpful, eco-friendly - solar fairy lights for the showers and toilets at night, able to walk into Broad Haven - took about 30 minutes with small children.

Facilities: block of 3 wooden units, 1 WC & sink basin, 2 x WC, Basin & shower (£1 for 6 mins), Units were clean & plenty of toilet rolls, hand wash, shower gel provided by camp owners.
Fridge & freezer unit was a nice surprise, about 7 appliances free for campers to use, also socket "Charging Station" for other devices.
Washing up area, open sink & drainer area, cold water, fairy liquid & cleaning pads all provided.
Water tap & chemical toilet disposal points.
Iron fire pits free to use, bags of logs available @ £4

We camped for two weeks on site this August and had a great stay. The owners were very helpful when we arrived and whilst on our stay to provide change for the showers. The site itself was great, enough space for everyone on site. Even though the site was busy during our stay, we never felt overlooked or crowded, and we liked the 'pitch anywhere' approach and areas left unmown. My 5 year old especially loved making friends with fellow campers and going off picking blackberries. The site felt safe and secure, and we had no worries letting the little ones roam free. We never had long to wait for showers/toilets and there was always space in the fridge's for milk etc (advise to place food in tied bags as we did have some food taken).

Locally the area is stunning with gorgeous beaches, walks and places to discover. The walk down to Little Haven (and back up) was fine as the roads weren't that busy, and we enjoyed finding the local house up the road selling fresh veg and eggs. We especially loved Dale for crabbing, Marloes Sands and beaches at NT sites near Stackpole and NT Colby Gardens and Woodland (free pond dipping and duck races everyday). The kids loved Folly Farm, Pembroke Castle, Scolton Manor and rainy day option soft play Merlins Magic at Haverfordwest and rockpooling at Parrog. The café on the Quay in Old Fishguard did a lovely cream tea, and the cakes (mudpie esp) in the cake café at Pembroke were amazing. Hilton Court Gardens & Crafts and Gianni's Ice Cream, St Davids did some of the best ice creams! Most places are less than 45 mins drive away, and if you are using the toll road from Pembroke Dock charges are 75p/crossing.

We found a local laundrette in Prendergast, and food shops including Morrisons, Tescos and Aldi in Haverfordwest, Londis at Broadhaven (with post office).
