  • Among spectacular scenery a hike or short drive from the beach
  • Two and a half miles from the ferry point for Skomer Island

    not very busy
lot's of green area for kids to play and run (no kites)
in between lots of sightseeing places
Very friendly owner, gave us hot water when we're out of gas.

    Disliked:

Showers and kitchen area need some refurbishing
I can envisage queues for toilets in busy times

From the manager...

Hello thank you for your comments much appreciated.
We were full Saturday an Sunday we are only allowed 30 units and that gives as you say space for children to play. We had 29 units in so we are pleased that you liked the space.
There is a fourth shower just by the static caravan sorry you did not see it I will make sure the sign is clear from the hedge.
As we have a lot of camper vans and motor homes the area in the facilities should be enough but I think everyone just loves coming up to the facilities. I have to say when it is raining they do tend to use their facilities in there vans.
Anyway so pleased you liked it we were so lucky with the weather and it is still really sunny and hot.
See you again and thank you. Sorry again I will make sure that sign is visible for the fourth shower.
Sincerely Heather.

Lovely friendly owners and great pitches for electric.

    Disliked:

Only 2 showers and one sink does result in queues but only a small site so understandable.

From the manager...

Thank you I am so pleased you enjoyed yourselves we were lucky with the weather.
There are 3 showers in the facilities two as you go in and one past the fridges and freezer also one down by the static caravan. For the fourth one as I said to another couple my opologies I will make sure the hedge is not hiding the sign.
Hope you had a good journey home.

From the manager...

Sorry we are new owners and the web site has now been updated. Unfortunately the facilities in the village close early until May. Your little boy seemed to enjoy the space and playing with my friends little girl which was nice for them both. I am glad you had good weather for the time of year. Thank you for pointing out the web site whilst you were here sorry about that it was helpful that you said. Best wishes Heather

Local attractions

Most people come here to get away from it all, so the main focus is on the beautiful natural attractions of the Marloes Peninsula.

The local beach for Foxdale Campsite - an energetic walk or a very short drive away - is clean, uncrowded Marloes Sands, a huge expanse of beach at low tide, with rockpools and unusual cliff formations for added drama.

Hop on a boat at nearby Martin’s Haven for the 15-minute crossing to Skomer Island, bliss for birdwatchers: as well as cormorants, razorbills and many other sea birds, between April and August the island plays home to a sizeable puffin colony.

Skomer is also a good place to see grey seals, although you can often spot them from dry land as well, during the short walk around the cliff tops at Martin’s Haven Deer Park (no deer, but spectacular wild flowers and sea views).

For active types, there are many more fab walks along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, as well as golf, sailing, windsurfing, sea fishing and pony trekking nearby.

Must see

  • Pembrokeshire Coast National Park (11.0 miles)
  • St Davids Cathedral (11.0 miles)
  • Pembroke Castle (12.3 miles)

National Trust

  • St David's Visitor Centre and Shop (10.8 miles)
  • Stackpole Estate (13.6 miles)
