General

  • Eco-friendly and sustainable site on an organic smallholding
  • Remote location close to the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park
  • Dog exercise area

Settle down at this environmentally-aware site for lazy secluded days or as a base for getting out into Pembrokeshire – whichever option you go for, fab views over the Preseli Hills come as standard.

North Lodge is an organic smallholding in a gorgeously remote part of Pembrokeshire, yet only ten minutes from lots of good beaches and things to do. Fishguard, Cardigan and Newport are all a short drive away, and the hiking, pony trekking and cycling of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park are close by.

The site prides itself on its sustainability and is Green Keys certified for its eco approach: carbon emissions kept as low as possible and food either grown organically or sourced very locally.

Group bookings are welcome; and canine campers can come along too (the site has a dog exercise area).

Every pitch feels secluded which is lovely. The owners were very laid back and extremely helpful.

    Disliked:

The only down side: you cant park near your pitch. However, the owners loan you wheel barrows to unload your equipment. Good exercise I suppose!

Outstanding views from our pitch along with stunning star display at night. I loved the fact that each pitch is private thanks to the hedge rows that separate us from other campers. The site had all necessary facilities ie.shower, wash room, eco toilets. The host made us feel very welcome and prepared a firepit for our arrival nice touch! Lots of places to go things to do.Will definetly be returning soon :)

    Disliked:

The carpark is on the small site which makes it hard to get out for day trips. On the website it mentions archery as an activity unfortunately this wasn't available during our stay but sounds fantastic if it were put into use.

    Eco theme

From the manager...

Disliked Eco theme!! we are an eco campsite with a green key accreditation, disappointing as we have so much good feedback from happy campers who enjoy the eco feel of the site. please ensure you visit the type of site you prefer in the future.
The accommodation has been scored with a 1 which it shouldn't have been as this customer was camping and had no access to our accommodation.
Considering the review this customer did not leave until the following evening past their booking without paying, left rubbish on the camping field on their pitch, had two vehicles, only paid for one. Consistently left a mess in the shared facilities, noticeably different after their departure. As an eco site we encourage sharing of vehicles, by charging for extra cars and also provide discounts for walkers and cyclists.

There was plenty of privacy as pitches and cabins were separated by hedges, giving it a garden feel.
Very eco-friendly with compost loos and reuse of water for flushing toilets.
A lovely view out towards the preselis
The cabin that we stayed in was lovely and cosy and we enjoyed our evenings in with the log fire.
