General
- Family-friendly naturist site
- Heated covered swimming pool and modern facilities
- Well set to explore the Wye Valley, Bristol and Cardiff
We feel it's safe to say that a stay at Western Sunfolk Naturist Site will be camping that's just a bit different.
But there's 'no better way to camp' than being bare to the air, say the Western Sunfolk peeps, who extend an invite for all to join them – whether you're an experienced naturist or a newbie who's only ever flusteredly even considered getting your kit off in public. And yes, the camping areas here are secluded...
Western Sunfolk is a private naturist club for families and couples, owned and maintained as a nonprofit organisation; it's not run commercially and there are no paid employees.
The park is based in Monmouthshire, roughly equidistant between Tintern, Monmouth and Chepstow. It covers seven and a half acres on a wooded hill near Trellech and loo, hot showers and communal cooking facilities. Free wifi is available.
There's also a play area and a pavilion with large TV, pool and table tennis, minitennis, boules, giant draughts and volleyball. And something else you might like to see on a site like this: a heated covered pool (often reaching over 26 degrees) and a sunbathing area: just remember not to bring your swimsuit.
Find nearby sites with availability…
Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
Large tents/caravans: check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit is suitable for the space you will be provided with.

Local attractions
Miles of spectacularly scenic walks are close by or accessible within easy driving distance, like the Wye Valley and Offa's Dyke Path, both around 20 minutes away. Or hike or stroll in virtually any direction from Western Sunfolk to be in beaut countryside within minutes: ask at the club for info on walks in the local area. An excellent pub serving good food is in the nearest village a short distance away.
A little further afield are more walking trails along with bike rides and a bike hire centre at the Forest of Dean, and many satisfying strolls around the area's small towns like Monmouth, Usk, Chepstow and Ross-on-Wye. The many medieval castles in the area often have events in the summer.
Other days out in the vicinity could include the exhibition centre, craft shops and tearooms at Tintern Abbey, or the Big Pit (National Mining Museum of Wales) at Blaenavon.
