I have now stayed at this site three times as it ticks all the boxes for my wife and I.It is in lovely location near Carmarthen, which is ideally located for the national botanical gardens and Aberglasney .The site is lovely and peaceful with no children running riot etc .We love the chickens and cows from the field next door .We managed to get a table in the restaurant for my wife's birthday ,and had a lovely meal complete with candle .If your just passing its well worth a stop if your hungry ,I noticed many caravaners pulling in over the weekend as there's plenty of room in the Car park to turn around .

Very nice chilled relaxed site in a rural setting. We had no problems with the road noise as it was quiet at night. Pub food was excellent and we would have used it a lot more had it been open for longer hours as unfortunately the weather wasn't brilliant. The chickens clucking around were lovely .

    Disliked:

It was a shame that the pub wasn't open on the Sunday evening as we would have enjoyed a second meal in there.
The shop also only seemed to be open during pub opening hours so we didn't really get a chance to look in there

This site is brilliant. We had a fantastic welcome from Natalie who rang on the morning of arrival to talk us through how to sign in. We had the whole site to ourselves, excluding the chickens.

Visited the toilets and had a nose at the showers of the way and couldn't believe the quality. I've stayed in worse hotels. The showers are warm, powerful, big enough to keep your clothes dry and you have a seat to get dressed on. The toilets are the toilets for the pub with a special access door. They are pristine and modern.

Power is supplied through a pay as you go card. £5 lasted us all week including running the fridge from it.

We travelled with 5 dogs which were more than welcome. Due to the chickens they had to be kept onlead and the chickens are sensible enough to stay away. My dogs are fine with them but it was good to know the chickens wouldn't walk in to camp!

It has great access to Camarthen and the local areas. We travelled to Pembrey County Park which is a great day out for families and single travellers. The beach there is also very dog friendly and we had a lovely walk there. There is also a wood walk, ski slope, golf course and more.

There are lots of castles and plenty of sites to visit, even the Brecons aren't too far to see.

As a base for visiting a large part of Wales you couldn't ask for a better campsite. The showers make you feel clean unlike a lot of sites that make you want another straight after! Great food at the pub and a small shop open onsite some days a week. Plenty of space between pitches and I can imagine that even in summer it still feels quiet.

    Disliked:

There isn't much 3G coverage on Vodafone and the only Wifi is available at the pub however that is free to access and being on holiday I didn't want to be glued to the internet anyway.

Easily located site on major road no real noise from this
The pub food was perfect and convenient,as it was on our door step.
We are looking forward to our next visit.

    Disliked:

We didn't ask but there didn't seem to be anywhere you could go for a walk. The A40 was much to busy to walk along. We didn't venture onto the surrounding fields. Hopefully this could be a possiblity in the future.
