Great central location, nice pitches - well kept, we opted for an electrical hook-up, which are good & close to each of the pitches (water tap also adjacent), excellent shower & toilet facilities & friendly staff.

    Disliked:

We were there for a long weekend (Sat/Sun/Monday) but the Halfway Inn was closed all day Sunday, so we couldn't eat or drink there as intended - in fact all the local pubs were closed on Sunday, so we had to travel into Carmarthen to find somewhere to eat (about 10 miles away) not ideal if you have a young family.

This also meant that although we were greeted in a friendly manner when we arrived, we didn't see anyone again up-until the time we left on Monday lunchtime, so if we had any queries or problems - there was nobody about to seek help from.

As far as recommendation - yes but don't go over a weekend!

From the manager...

Thank you for your review . However it does contain false information that I wish to correct.
The Halfway Inn is not closed all day on a Sunday , it is open for Sunday lunch. This is advertised not only on Pitch up but was also written on the information sheet that you were given on your arrival.
The welcome letter that you were given on your arrival also provided you with a contact telephone number to ring for any queries or questions . We live on site so we are available 24 hours a day and would have been happy to help you with anything you may have required.
It is therefore unfair and misleading to tell people not to come over a weekend.
