We had a fantastic week at Hill View. A short drive to a nice beach, below Llansteffan castle, the site provides beautiful views of hills and valleys.

We love the camp kitchen set up next to the yurt itself and the chimney was a lovely touch for enjoying those sunny evenings. (We had a couple!) the added bonus of a fully equipped kitchen with electricity was really practical with fridge freezer, hot water, kettle and job and oven. Great for wet mornings.
Kids (3 & 18 months) lived sleeping on the futons, watching the fire, singing about the cows on the next hill, and watching the swallows swooping up and down. We enjoyed big hunting and running around on the grass. The nearby beach met the needs of the kids with streams to paddle in, shells and rocks to collect and sand a plenty for building castles and of course knocking them down. Parking right by beach with play park and toilets and a place to get icecream and hot drinks all within 100 yards of each other.

Kevin sent us helpful emails regarding what to bring and the location of the site.

    Disliked:

These are niggles and I I could give 4.5 I would gave done
While Kevin has painted and laid non slip surfaces on the majority of the timber outside we still had a few slips on unpainted surfaces.
If the shower could have been closer then would have been really helpful.
The beautiful path down to the cabins has brambles and nettles either side, some of which what are perfect toddler grabbing height. We tried some down and quick lessons were learnt about not touching them.
