Cwm Ty Coed

Combine adventure and comfort in this lovely camping spot! Cwm Ty Coed has roomy grass pitches, fully-equipped bell tents and a tipi on a 30-acre smallholding near Carmarthen, so you can camp in whatever style you choose.

Our smallholding in the countryside is surrounded by both meadow and mature woodland, and our spacious camping field is bordered by trees and has lovely views of the surrounding area.

We wish to create a sense of wild camping but also to offer a degree of comfort not usually associated with life under canvas. Each tent and tipi is attractively and comfortably furnished with either a log-burning stove or a fire bowl for atmosphere and extra warmth should the nights be cool.

Outside the tents there is a large firepit, picnic table and barbecue. Those staying with us have access to a well-equipped camp kitchen in which it is possible to cook on two cast iron cooking rings and to eat under shelter depending on weather conditions. There is plenty of space to explore by using swings or walkways in the woodland; there is even a zip wire for those aged over eight.

We have plenty of space to relax, especially on our on-site hammocks.

As we are in Wales and rain is not uncommon, we provide a large log cabin furnished with cosy sofas, a log-burning stove and a cooker.

Outside the cabin there is a communal firepit and picnic area and we can even arrange for an outdoor ‘cinema’ with straw bale seating if requested.

Toilets and gas-powered showers are available.

Please read the park terms and conditions below and the Pitchup.com terms and conditions.

We ask our guests to respect the privacy and comfort of other campers at all times. It is important to ensure silence around other tents after 10pm.

No cars allowed on the camping field.

No dogs, except guide dogs, are allowed.

Parents/guardians are responsible for their children at all times on site.

Cwm Ty Coed will accept no responsibility for any personal injury sustained on our premises or loss of any property.

We ask guests not to attempt to drive their cars onto the camping field; if you have any special requirements with mobility please do contact us to enable us to make any arrangements safely.

We have sheep in our fields who, rather annoyingly, like nothing better than a day trip! Please ensure all gates are closed after you and explain the importance of this to any children in your care.

We encourage campfires in the designated firepits but ask guests to respect the environment, to be careful not to light fires elsewhere and to be aware that logs are a valuable resource.

Please respect our recycling ethos and carefully dispose of your waste in the appropriate receptacles.

In the event of very severe weather we reserve the right, in the interest of our guests' safety, to cancel your holiday and offer an alternative date or a full refund.
