Great camp site, beautiful lake, nice shower facility, fresh drinking water. Bob our host was super accommodating and made us feel very welcome. On his recommendation we enjoyed a really nice walk up a hill/mountain nearby. He provided us with firewood and a fire container for £6 which was really worth it. I would definitely go again!

    Disliked:

The pitches are in a bit of a down hill slope which was a slight issue with an 8'man tent but we managed to find a flat spot.

The owner was very helpful and the locals who store their vans on the site were so friendly - we had only been there an hour and we were invited to a party on the Saturday night which was great fun. made to feel very welcome. there is a small lake if you like fishing and dogs are very welcome.

    Disliked:

The site just needs a bit of TLC, the grass on our plot was a bit long and the electric is for limited use only. Apart from that it was a good stay.

The location is peaceful and the small fishing lake is pleasant

    Disliked:

Very uneven hard standing pitch that was unprepared. Long sharp copper piping had been left on the pitch. We drove over this and it was wedged under the wheel.
Electricity limited due to solar power . Only power we were able to use was to charge battery and phone ! We could not book for any less than two nights on the site even though we only required one ! We paid £20 per night up front and left after one night. The services are virtually non existent on this site, the state of the upkeep is very poor and the cost per night is extortionate given this .
The following night we stayed at a far superior site with fabulous facilities that was cheaper per night .
Time and money is required to be spent on this site for it to be of a reasonable standard. We informed the owner of our dissatisfaction, he did not offer any apology or refund for the night not spent there. He also said the previous person on our pitch had not cleared it when in effect it should be his responsibility. Needless to say,we will not return.

From the manager...

Why make it out that the site was poor when it was there own fault. It was a very large camper van which we had a job to accommodate. They had been searching other sites and booked us at the last minute, half hr before they arrived. They did not read the site description about the electricity. It was a lie when they said they could not book less than two nights. He was just a complete moaner. Check my other reviews to see he just lied. He is probably the type of person who gets pleasure from giving bad reviews. What a small world he lives in

Llandyfan camping and fishing is a great little place! super quiet and run by the ever welcoming and friendly Bob! We arrived after midnight but Bob was there to assist in the dark and found us a spot, we then moved the next night to an even better spot up the top of the site.

The toilets and showers were clean and hot and can't complain about anything!

Make sure you check out Bobs cabin !!

Nice area with deciduous woodland surrounding, lovely lake for fishing and everything is well looked after. The drinking water was from a well built by the owner which was very crisp and fresh tasting. The toilet and shower block was lovely and clean and the owner Bob was very helpful and friendly.

    Disliked:

We didn't realise that there was no spinning in the lake but this was no ones fault only misunderstanding. The fire pit was brilliant but we were unaware that there was an additional cost for the fire wood and fire pit. One of our children was 7 years old and the other was 13 and we found it hard to occupy the younger child, maybe a small play area for smaller children would be beneficial.

From the manager...

Thank you for your comments.
I would put a children’s play area but the cost of health and safety prevents it.

Bob! The greatest host we have come across. Really laid back. The pitches weren't marked out and you were able to spread out. On Bank Holiday weekend we weren't too cramps. The fishing was great. We had a fantastic walk around the castle at Trapp too

    Disliked:

I was initially worried when I saw only 1 toilet and 1 shower in the ladies and men's. However I never waited for the shower and only waited once for the loo.
