Bryn Dwr Camping Pods9.2
Bryn Dwr Camping Pods is a gorgeous site with just two well-maintained pods snuggled in dappled shade 50 yards from the Offa's Dyke path on the banks of the River Alyn, both with their own deck extending out over the water.
The pods have their own lighting and heating, with showers, loos and dishwashing facilities just a short stroll away in the main house. There’s plenty of parking and safe storage for bikes.
Bryn Dwr is in the village of Llandegla, with lots of activities right on the doorstep, including stunning walks along the Offa’s Dyke Path, clay pigeon shooting, mountain biking, canoeing and fly fishing. At the nearby bird gardens in Pen-Y-Ffrith, you can watch the birdies while you meander among woodland streams, pools of trout, waterfalls and a lake and goggle at the lovely views of the Welsh landscape.
It’s an easy trip from here to the brilliant Chester Zoo, whose 110 acres are home to thousands of animals (and if it’s raining, you can always take the monorail tour). Nearby Llangollen is lively even outside of Eisteddfod season, and well worth a visit too: daytrippers can take a short chug through the fresh green hills on the steam railway, or go for an old school narrowboat ride, pulled by a horse.

From the manager...
decking is slippy when wet due to decking being made out of wood, there are two pods and are about 5-6 foot away from each other,as for decking not being swept the deckings are under trees that have leaves on and leaves do blow off the trees from time to time , but will take your comments on board thank you .yes shower and bathroom are at the house and you were told this on booking and lots of the reveiws mention this and as for being miles from the pods it is less than a two minute walk (maybe we should put a bus on) .. even though you are camping and not in a hotel with a onsuite.
A lovely relaxing, quiet place! 19 Feb 2015
