Cae’r Boncath is named after the buzzards that nest in the adjacent bluebell wood. It is a sheltered, tranquil spot, and one of our favourite parts of our smallholding.
The Cae’r Boncath bell tent is in a four-acre field, so is exclusively yours. There is also a wealth of wildlife including (at the last count) more than 50 species of birds in and around the site.
Cae’r Boncath offers you the chance to relax and enjoy the heart of the countryside but is close enough to activities and lots of attractions for those looking for a more active holiday.
We are on the edge of Snowdonia National Park within peaceful and unspoilt countryside between the mountains and the sea. This is a popular area for walkers, climbers, paddlers and riders. Footpaths, quiet roads and bridleways can lead you through picturesque, gentle countryside and on up into the Snowdonia mountains. We can also offer secure cycle storage, shelter and turnout for horses.
The five-metre bell tent is raised on a platform and equipped with a double bed and two single futon mattresses (if required) and a cosy woodburning stove for those damper days. It has its own compost toilet and solar outdoor shower, camp kitchen with gas cooker and a firepit for nights under the stars toasting marshmallows.
When available, free-range hen eggs and free-range pork (sausages, bacon, chops, belly etc), vegetables and fruit can be purchased at the campsite. Freshly baked bread can be ordered for the mornings.
Open from 21 Mar to 10 Oct
