Station Camp site is a small touring caravan and camping site situated in the beautiful Dee valley. This quiet, level site is convenient for many local attractions, including Llangollen Steam Railway. Carrog Station is opposite to the site, offering visitors the opportunity to leave their cars or camper vans on our site while they take a leisurely steam train ride into Llangollen, where there are many tourist attractions. Also within walking distance is the local pub, serving food all day, and the River Dee, which is ideal for a picnic on a sunny summer’s day.
For walkers and hikers, the area is ideal, as along with the many walking trails and footpaths around Llangollen, there are various walks which can start from the campsite, including the Dee Valley walk, a pleasant stroll up to Penarth Quarry, where there are spectacular views of the valley, or for the serious walker, there is Moel Fferna, 630m (2071ft) and beyond that, the magnificent Berwyn Mountain Range.

    Leaving the camp site

stayed here for two nights on our way in and out of wales Pod was a rip of nothing in it except small heater and a carpet. No kettle as mentioned on there website, we asked about it and were told it would be in there on our return trip. It wasn`t.
1st night we had a couple beating the crap out of each other till the early hours, in the pod next door. lots of glass smashing and banging.
Return trip we had a couple having a domestic opposite us in a camper van not something you want around two young children.

From the manager...

Sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your stay on both occasions in the pod.
The website states that kettles using up to 1kw can be used in the pods, but does not say we provide them, but we have taken your suggestion on board and are looking into getting a kettle for each of the pods.
As for the disruptions during the 1st night we do provide campers with our contact details on the wall in the pod and also in the toilet and shower block, if they do have any problems any time it does say to contact us, but the situation wasn't bought to our attention until departure so we were unable to help in anyway during your stay.
We are a family site and we do try to provide a pleasant time for everyone during there stay. Unfortunately we can not be responsible for domestics between campers but if you would have called us we could have asked them to keep the noise down or leave the site as it does say on our rules “ any persons making excessive noise after 10pm will be asked to leave. “

If you have any further comments you would like to make please don't hesitate to contact us.
