Directions

From the A9, take the first exit after Aviemore (A95 Grantown, Keith, Elgin). Follow this road to Grantown, taking the second exit at the first roundabout and the third exit at the next one. Continue on the A95 for half a mile, taking the third exit on the right (A939 Tomintoul, Ballater). Continue on this road for 12 miles. About half a mile after the cattle grid, at the bottom of the hill, you will pass a turning on the left (signed for Balneden Steading). Continue up the hill and onto the straight - the next track off to the right (marked Fodderletter) takes you up to the Old Pine Yurt.

From Aberlour, continue on A95 towards Grantown-on-Spey. At Ballindalloch turn left on the B9008
towards Tomintoul. Continue on this route for 14 miles until you reach a junction - turn right over the bridge (signed Grantown on Spey) and keep going up the hill. After the left-hand-bend at the top of the hill, look out for the hidden entrance on the left. Head up this track to reach the Old Pine Yurt.

From A939 North East: Come through the Lecht ski centre, continue until reaching a junction - turn left (signed Tomintoul). On entering the village and reaching another junction, turn right and continue through the village and out onto the A939. Drive for 2 miles until you cross the Bridge of Avon, then continue up the hill. After the left-hand-bend at the top of the hill look out for the secluded entrance on your left - this track will take you up to the Old Pine Yurt.
