General
- Scenic park overlooking the sea, Waterford Harbour and Hook Head
- Set in meadows and surrounded by woodland
- Guest kitchen, outdoor barbecue and award-winning restaurant
A couple of hundred metres from the sea and thoroughly modern too: if you're off to Ireland's south east, settle down at highly scenic and purpose-built Dunmore East Holiday Park for smashing views over the village of Dunmore East, Waterford Harbour estuary and Hook Head.
All is splendidly smart on site: guests have a large utility building with showers, toilets, a laundry room and disabled facilities, a guest kitchen and pitches with 16-amp hook-up, grey waste disposal and water.
The outdoor barbecue and picnic area overlook the bay and the village… or you could (should) amble over to the award-winning Lighthouse Restaurant and Bar to let dinner be served to you. For adventures off site, this is an excellent base from which to tour Waterford and the Copper Coast, and to potter around Dunmore village, take local coastal walks and explore the clean and safe beaches around this stretch of shoreline. The village is a few minutes' stroll away.
Dogs are welcome and there's a wooded dog walk on site (please keep dogs on leads at all times).

Location
Upon entering Dunmore East on the R684 from Waterford, take the first left. This takes you to the Strand; turn left and continue for 800m where the holiday park entrance is on your right. Alternatively, follow the signposts to Dunmore East Golf Club or Seacliff Holiday Homes for a separate entrance.
Local attractions
Dunmore East Holiday Park has easy access to some of the most topping visitor attractions in the south east, like Waterford Crystal Tourist Centre, the Viking Triangle, Waterford Museum of Treasures and the Copper Coast, the 17-kilometre seaside stretch from Kilfarrasy to Stradbally.
The beaut village of Dunmore East has nine restaurants and pubs, a park with all-weather tennis courts and a children’s playground, quite the pick of beaches and coves, and access to many walking trails along this very viewsome coastline. If you'd rather get on the water, take a chartered boat trip to spot the local dolphins.
Dunmore East Golf Club is next door to the holiday park and has an 18-hole championship course and bar and restaurant facilities during high season; even better, it has big discounts for guests of the site. Have dinner here, then head back to base, settling down against the rising of the moon over Hook Head lighthouse…
