it was OK location if you are doing the ring of Kerry. The staff are very friendly.

    Disliked:

The site is very dated and need to have an update on the toilets and showers.
Found it strange to have to pay for the use of shower because this was the first time having to do it? We had power shortage issues for the 2 nights that we stayed . We had booked and payed to stay 7 nights but after 2 nights we decided to go somewhere else.

From the manager...

Well Karen Thank you so much for your interesting review.WOW we were so bad you had to leave our camping park,THIS IS A FIRST.In answer to your complaints.

NO 1.Free Showers,i acutally checked through the camping book and every park charges for showers, our showers are up to 6 to 8 minutes long,MAY I REMIND YOU WE PAY WATER CHARGES,May be you don't ,but in Ireland all BUSINESS,S DO.

NO 2. SHOWER BLOCK NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU.Well for your information we don't own this park and if we did we would do an improvement ,I admit they could do with an up grade, but they are clean and VERY CLEAN AT THAT,The weekend you were there we had a club in,so it was busy. You gave a rating for 2 out of 10 for CLEANESS,How dare you.

No 3 .LOSS OF POWER -As I have mensioned already,we had a camping club in for the weekend,it was very busy,Power was down but it was sorted as it was a fuse,OK IT WAS A NUISANCE ,but we sorted it.THINGS GO WRONG ,BUT WE DO OUR DAMM BEST.We were there all weekend up to 11 at night, making sure toilet block and showers were clean etc.ETC ETC.

NO 4.you gave us low rating on everything ,you are obviously HARD PEOPLE to please.WE work very had in this park and are there 16 hours a day, your review was very unfair and it people like you who ruin business,s ,you also gave a low rating on the price ,we charge 20 euros a pitch with free electricity, free awning and we don't charge for extra people in campers/caravans,SO WE GIVE A GOOD DEAL.WE ARE PAYING RENT ON THIS PARK AND HAVE 4 KIDS TO FEED PLUS STAFF ,SO EXCUSE ME IF WE CHARGE FOR SHOWERS.ANY OTHER CUSTOMERS LOOKING TO COME TO OUR WELL RUN PARK ,READ OUR OTHER GENUINE REVIEWS ,THANK YOU JOAN [PARK OWNER]

very friendly staff safe secure site and great location town ten minutes drive walks and parks nearby super golf coarse just across the road if you are into golf no noise after eleven allowed which was well enforced by ian and tony the owner was always on hand to sort any problems out i had no problems but you knew he was there 1.50 euro was not a lot for a good high powered warm shower and it gave you plenty of time. noticed that the facilities for campers in the kitchen were great gas cooker microwave and fridge freezer all in all a good family run site and i for one will be back as it is a great base for ring of kerry and dingle kenmare is also worth a visit

Showers, had to pay, only lasted a few minutes. Think tent pitch should be cheaper than others, not all same price

From the manager...

Hi Guys Thank you for your review,The showers are 1.50 euros each, they last about 8 minutes so sorry your wer,nt long enough ,I don't no how this was,We offer a great deal at Beechgrove camping park.were you in a tent or a camper/Caravan.The price for camper /Caravans is 20 euros per night for low season with no extras, the camping with a tent is 7 euros each and 4 euros for a car,So I don't understand what do you mean by tent prices should be cheaper than others, they are cheaper, you booked a hard standing pitch .Sorry we have to charge for showers as water charges are very high.Joan Beechgrove
