Jon and Hayley are delighted to welcome you to Merkins Farm.
A secluded, level site, enjoying panoramic views over the Wiltshire Downs.
Just 14 miles from Longleat, 8 miles from the World Heritage City of Bath, 1 mile from the picturesque Saxon Town of Bradford-On-Avon, Merkins Farm is situated in the peaceful rural hamlet of Bradford Leigh.
Caravans and Motorhomes can pitch up on one of our six electric hook-up hardstanding pitches, and watch the world (and the wildlife) go by. If its a back to basics experience you are looking for, bring your tent and your BBQ, and choose a place in our spacious Tent area.
The field is 8 acres in size, so let the children run free, bring a ball and some bubbles !
We have 2 toilets and 1 shower room. Its not the Ritz, but we work very hard to ensure facilities are kept spic and span, and even have a glamorous mirror and bunting, to keep up appearances, and make you smile.
If the chores become too much, we will gladly cook for you in our Kitsch Cafe.
Serving Full English Breakfasts, Cooked Lunches, Homemade Cakes, and Cream Teas, served on Hayleys ever growing collection of Vintage China and Cakestands !
If country walks are your thing, look no further. Two National Trust properties are within walking distance, across open fields. Bring the children, bring the dog, bring your wellington boots !
Bradford-On-Avon itself is a delightful Saxon Town, with a wealth of individual gift shops, cafes and restaurants. The pretty train station provides a convenient link with Bath, with trains running every 30 minutes.
So, if its a camping experience for the kids, a peaceful break, or a shopping treat for the wife, Merkins Farm is the place for you !!!

Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
Large tents/caravans: check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit is suitable for the space you will be provided with.

BY ROAD
Exit the M4 Motorway at Junction 17. (Chippenham).
Take the A350 towards Chippenham. After approximately 3 miles take the A4 towards Corsham. Keep heading towards Corsham. When you reach Corsham you will come to a crossroads with traffic lights, the Cross Keys pub is on your right hand side. Go straight across. Head towards Bath, you will see a sign on the left, the B3109 to Bradford-On-Avon. Follow for approximately 3 miles, go straight over the five ways crossroads. After another 3 miles you will see the Plough Pub on the left, turn left IMMEDIATELY after the pub. The Campsite and Café are 1/4 of a mile along the lane, on the right hand side, look out for the red sign.
FROM BRADFORD-ON-AVON;
When you reach Bradford-On-Avon town centre, drive over the town bridge, turn left at the mini roundabout. At the top of the hill turn right at the mini roundabout by Christchurch and the Castle Inn. At the next mini roundabout turn left. Go straight over the next mini roundabout. At the crossroads with traffic lights, go straight over towards Bradford Leigh. Turn right IMMEDIATELY in front of The Plough Pub. Merkins Farm Campsite and Café is 1/4 mile along the lane, on the right hand side, look out for the red sign.
The Train Station in Bradford-On-Avon is just over 1 mile from the Campsite, The Taxi Rank outside the station will bring you straight to the campsite if you like !
