General
- Beautiful grounds and top-notch on-site facilities
- Adventure playground, table tennis and video games room for kids
- Pool, gym, sauna and steam room available
The pristine perfection of this park has earned plaudits aplenty, including ‘Best Site in the West of England’. Encircled by the beautiful Quantock Hills, its views are pretty flawless too..
The facilities at Quantock Orchard Caravan Park are extensive, and as well manicured as the grounds. There’s an outdoor pool open May to September, and a decent-sized gym, which also houses a sauna and steam room for visitors to bubble and steam away their cares. Plus a well-provisioned shop, wifi, and good essential amenities, including plenty of service points for motorhomes, water and so forth. Little monkeys can scale, swing and slide their way around the adventure playground, or have a go at pool, table tennis and the video games in the games room. The owners also welcome tail waggers, provided they’re kept on a lead.

Check availability at Quantock Orchard Caravan Park…
Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
Large tents/caravans: check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit is suitable for the space you will be provided with.

From the manager...
We are still in the middle of Winter/Early Spring, we don't have the staff yet to do everything at once, we keep the toilet block to the highest possible standard as far as sanitary is concerned but in the Winter because the weather is still wet we can't deal with people's muddy feet more than once a day. The staff are spending all their time painting, repairing the infrastructure of the park getting it ready for the Summer Season, I think people have to be fair and understanding with a small family business we don't have the hands to go round. |

Thank you very much for this super review. |

Please - we are in the dead of the Winter, we run single handed in the Winter as we can't really do more than we did, it's quite unfair to expect any more at this time of the year. |

From the manager...
This was at a time when very few parks are open, we run in the Winter will the absolute bare minimum staff and ground work, so these comments are not fair as it was winter and not during the time when the great majority of visitors are with us. |

From the manager...
Coming from the furniture I think it's a good idea to explain the completely different design of the beds in these static caravans. In a household bed there are springs in both the base and in the mattress, on a static caravan bed only the mattress has springs , this will result in a firmer sleep. |

The MV pitches are offered as mixed type pitches that is either type as available. |

From the manager...
On the night in question we had the strongest storm possible the combination of the strong winds lifted the skylight slightly and the wind drove the rain water in - in view of the weather conditions this really could not he helped, due to the good condition of these vans there was not further damage. |

Exit at Junction 25, then at the roundabout take the fourth exit onto the A358 signposted Taunton. Follow the A358 west around the outskirts of Taunton. The route is well marked with signs for West Somerset Railway and Butlins.
Continue following the A358 west route until you reach the Cross Keys pub near the roundabout. Take the second exit onto the A358 and follow this road for 8-9 miles (12km). After Flaxpool Garage take the next left. The park entrance is immediately on the left-hand side.
Local attractions
After stuffing themselves silly in one of the foodie pubs nearby, guests can hire mountain bikes or take a hike through the glorious landscapes surrounding the park, with eyes peeled for the local wildlife, which includes Quantock ponies and red deer. There are also loads of options for golfing, fishing and horse riding in the area.
Buses run to many places around and about, but many visitors choose to let the train take the strain instead. A gentle saunter from the park is Crowcombe Heathfield Station, one of the stops on the scenic West Somerset heritage railway, whose buff engines steam through miles of lovely views to the coastal town of Minehead.
Naturally speaking, there are all sorts of interesting geographical phenomena to discover: brutally beautiful Exmoor, the plunging Cheddar Gorge, fossils and rock formations at Kilve beach, and Wookey Hole’s underground caves and lakes. Those who enjoy poking around posh country piles should check out Dunster Castle, and the beautiful gardens at Hestercombe House.

This area had the worst of the Easter storm, the other Parks in the area were all closed due to being water logged. There was a general power cut in the area due to the bad weather completely out of our control, so this was not our fault, so that comment was totally unfair.
As in previous reviews WE DO NOT GUARANTEE HARD STANDINGS, I have altered the description on the pitch types to be all grass for all types of booking, if you would like to request a hard standing in future you must telephone us direct after you make your booking on pitch-up and request this, it will not be guaranteed but subject to availability, the general rule is the longer the booking will get you the first option, if you stay a week at a time then this will be more likely.
With regard to the welcome we are in the middle of the winter season still - it is very likely the shop will be closed, however we will see you come in from the office in the house, if you phone we will come to meet you in a few minutes. At this time of the year a comment like this is unfair, it would a different matter in July and August, but not now.
