- Luxury bell tents and XXL hammocks in the spectacular Mendip Hills
- With views over the Somerset Levels and Glastonbury Tor
- Double bed, logburner, picnic table and more for each tent
Luxury canvas camping indeed... Moor View Luxury Canvas Camping atop the Mendip hills has everything ticked for a smashing Somerset hol: spectacular scenery, a village (and pub) a short stroll down the road, spotless amenities, and bell tents so well and prettily kitted out that former guests have already lauded this luxury locale as 'divine', 'wonderful', 'fabulous' and 'a little piece of heaven'…
Moor View is a small, luxurious and scenically set wildflower meadow site, on top of the Mendip Hills surrounded by fields, farms and Somerset countryside, and with spectacular views over Glastonbury Tor and the Somerset Levels. It's a short stroll from here to the pretty village of Priddy and its pubs, walks and summer events on the village green.
Each bell tent is fully kitted out for luxury breaks, with a comfy double bed already made up, two bedside tables, deckchairs, a picnic table, a coolbox and a logburner with bag of logs included. Just outside, a kitchen with grill pan for alfresco cooking is exclusive to each bell tent.
And you may have already spotted the hammocks in the site pics...? There's one for each bell tent, at an XXL size for properly sprawling (do commandeer someone else to regularly hand you your drink/s for maximum relaxation).
Also on site are a communal provision tent with a fridge and freezer; a composting toilet; a proper gas powered outdoor hot shower, and the Toy Shed, full of outdoor games and toys to keep the kids amused.
Local produce is available to buy on site; for more supplies, the Priddy farm shop sells food for the barbie as well as serving breakfast. The village's Queen Victoria pub serves food throughout the day.

This Somerset setting is tiptop for outdoorsy days and long lazy wanders among an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty overlooking the Somerset Levels, Glastonbury Tor and the City of Wells. Famed south-west attractions like Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury and Wells are all within easy driving distance.
Walks lead straight from the site gates – ask the Moor View Luxury Canvas Camping owners for their recommendations depending on your length of walk and level of ability – and Cheddar Gorge and the Wookey Hole Caves are within five minutes' drive.
The splendid little city of Wells is at the bottom of the hill and is highly recommended to see its cathedral and Bishops Palace as well as have a wander around its shops, pubs and restaurants.
The Somerset Levels are a birdwatching haven: if this floats your Somerset boat, flit over to the RSPB reserve at West Sedgemoor which has the biggest lowland population of breeding wading birds in southern England.
