Site was very quiet due to the time of year. The facilities were adequate, but definitely more suited for summer camping.

    Disliked:

The staff member was not aware that we would be arriving. But this wasn't a major issue.

emailed to try to find out some information I needed about our stay (first time ever we had been camping) and had no response, no communication back so went elsewhere.

From the manager...

    Friendly relaxed atmosphere,
Pub was closed when we arrived, phoned the owner who said just pitch up where you prefer and we can sort payment out at the bar later.

Camping field is on a slight slope but you can pitch up wherever you like.

Camping field toilets are in 2 stand alone buildings and are very spacious, one even has a shower and wet room.

Dog friendly, we sat in the lovely conservatory area to eat our meal and our dog sat under the table.

Well kept beer and the local cider is really tasty.

Wife loved her bacon and Brie baguette.

    Friendly owner.

Cheap, friendly, quiet, perfect stopover on the way to beautiful days festival. Toilets and shower had a rustic charm, but were more than good enough for us. Food was good and generous portions - and I slept well on a couple of pints of the local cider. Had no problems with our friends meeting us there for a couple of hours in the morning while we changed a wheel on the van.
