General

  • Glamping in a peaceful setting in the Somerset countryside
  • Within a few minutes' ride of the National Cycle Route
  • Barbecues and campfires allowed; local produce available for sale

Holly Farm Holidays is a popular and peaceful place, on an old dairy farm in a rural setting with fab views across the surrounding countryside. It's home to chickens, pigs, ducks, an occasional turkey (or three), and Somerset countryside glamping options: scroll down to take a look at what's splendidly on offer.

Around the site, the southwest part of the National Cycle Route is a few minutes' ride away, Ilminster is the nearest market town, and the Jurassic Coast at Charmouth and Lyme Regis is about 12 miles away.

The farm has toilets, showers, a washing-up area, charging facilities and recycling. Local produce is available to buy and both barbecues and campfires are allowed.

This is a real find! What a gem, complete peace & quiet. We stayed in Big Red, a converted train wagon complete with a wood burner stove. On arrival we were greeted and shown our spotless accommodation and it's facilities everything has been thought of, right down to oil lanterns lit at night creating a lovely atmosphere.
If you are looking for a site with a club house and group activities, don't go to Holly Farm, if (like us) you value tranquility DO!

Stayed in the yurt for 4 nights. Couldn't have asked for a more peaceful relaxing holiday. Amazing location for exploring this beautiful area of the country. Short drive to jurassic coast, exmoor national park, cheddar gorge etc. Couldn't have asked for a better location. Facilities were excellent. Little touches such as a barn with books to borrow, darts and sports equipment meant everything needed to relax was thought of. Bbq and kitchen facilities were excellent. Loved the fact that the dogs could come on holiday with us and enjoy the freedom of exploring the farm.

My daughter and I stayed in the yurt, this is surprisingly spacious, enough room for the both of us. We fired up the woodburner this is so easy to do and boy it keeps you toasty. The yurt is tucked away, great privacy, picnic table and comfy chairs, great just to keep back, views across the fields are stunning

Kitchen area is more than ample, it's in a barn!! Small hob, microwave, kettle, toaster & bbq washing up facilities. Not only that a large kitchen table to sit at and enjoy your food. There are also board games to keep you amused, darts, pool and boules. No excuse to be bored!!

The wash basins and shower facilities are spotless, the shower works well. The toilet is eco friendly it's basic but works well.

The yurt is set in a small holding with pigs, chickens and ducks oh and let's not forget the star attraction Ozzie the dog he is simply gorgeous.

The hosts Jason and Tracy instantly make you feel at home both are very helpful and have a great knowledge of their surroundings, what to visit and recommend.

We had a fabulous break we chilled, explored. I cannot recommend enough.
