Exclusively for adults, The Old Oaks Touring Park won AA Best Campsite in the UK in 2013. We have an unrivalled reputation for our spotlessly clean facilities, excellent customer service, friendly wardens, beautiful grounds and yummy homemade cakes.
Set in tranquil and unspoilt countryside with panoramic views of the Mendip Hills and surrounding area, our adults only five-star park offers huge landscaped pitches all backing onto mature hedges separated by trees or shrubs, creating a sense of privacy.
There are two amenity blocks with plenty of individual private shower rooms. Our shower block, completed in 2012, has been described as being better than a five-star hotel!
Also provided are ample dishwashing sinks, freezer facilities for ice packs (no charge) and laundry rooms, and free use of microwaves. Free wifi throughout the park is also provided.
The shop/off-licence carries a good range of locally sourced groceries, our own free range eggs and home-reared beef and lamb, wine and beer - and during the main season we will also collect newspapers and freshly baked bread for you (if ordered). Fresh home-baked cakes are available at busier times. We also stock Calor and Camping Gaz and offer a freezer pack hire service.
Our half-acre fishing pond is well stocked with carp, roach and tench. Win a free break in our fishing competitions.
We plant an extensive number of native trees, shrubs and hedging to help to create a peaceful, green sanctuary for people and attract wildlife including foxes, badges and birds. The park also has a Victorian-style reed bed to filter waste water from the amenity block in a natural, chemical free way which provides an excellent habitat for wildlife.
Excellent recycling facilities exist all around the park. Guests are actively encouraged to recycle as much as possible.
We are a perfect location for walking and cycling (free walking guides): bikes can be hired on site, and you can even borrow a bird feeder and bat detector!

Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
Large tents/caravans: check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit is suitable for the space you will be provided with.
