Campsites in Glastonbury, Somerset

63 bookable campsites within 15 miles of Glastonbury Sorted by distance

We like wallowing in mud as much as most folk, but if you’re camping in Somerset’s Glastonbury just to attend the world famous fest, we respectfully suggest you’re missing out. Once the music is over and Glastonbury goers have been suitably hosed down, we also respectfully suggest they book a Glastonbury campsite to see the sights. Glastonbury Abbey is possibly where Excalibur was forged, people! And Glastonbury Tor, about a mile and a half east of the Abbey, is said to be the entrance to the land of the fairies and so should be capered about at merrily while having a look at the Somerset Levels below.

Deets on other Glastonbury sights are in the fifteenth century Tribunal building along with the Glastonbury Lake Village Museum to delve into the area and its Arthurian and pagan legends; have a meander on the Millennium Trail too as it passes other historical Glastonbury sites like the Chalice well and St John’s Church Tower. Out of town, potter around the nature reserves of the Avalon Marshes, or wander off to Wells and the Wookey Hole Caves a few miles away to try and spy the legendary witch.
