Exmoor Green and Wild Camping is a small, peaceful farm on the border of Exmoor National Park, Somerset and Devon, with a private camping field offering a semi-wild camping experience that is secluded and private at the end of a half-mile track. The field is exclusively for your use and comes complete with a campfire, log supply and meandering stream. Parking is next to the field, and luggage would need to be carried across the ford and into the field. A wheelbarrow is available.

Our facilities are basic and rustic in a safari shower tent with lovely hot shower and organic chemical toilet, plus a compost loo hidden in the trees.

The field is suitable for 3 large tents and a maximum of 12 people.

There is a public footpath leading from the farm to Dulverton, which is 20 minutes' walk away. Set in the beautiful Exmoor National Park, Dulverton has much to offer including shops, boutiques, cafés and restaurants. The Bridge Inn sits next to the River Barle and has wonderful food on the edge of town.

Camping here will give you the chance to see Exmoor's amazing wildlife close up. We have a resident herd of wild red deer, and during autumn you can hear the roar of tstags during the rutting season. Hiding behind a hedge or bank, it can be quite a spectacle. (Please do not approach a rutting stag, they can be aggressive!) Badgers, hedgehogs, buzzards, foxes and woodpeckers are among the creatures you may see easily.

We welcome campers who will leave the site exactly as they found it, please.

There are several stables nearby that organise pony trekking onto the open moorland of Exmoor National Park (two miles).
