Set in a secluded six-acre field and surrounded by high hedges, backed by public land and over 100m away from the nearest road or house, we are the closest site to Swanage town centre and its shops. We are located only a seven-minute level walk to the lovely sandy beach.
The camping area is tents only which means no car radios, no early morning engines starting up and no worries about kids and cars in the camping field.
Simple but clean facilities are provided on site: toilets, free hot showers, free use of hairdryers and plugs, and hot water washing-up facilities.
We also recharge your mobiles, blow up your air mattresses and freeze your ice packs for free.
Maps and information on walks and activities are available in the reception. We are always happy to help you choose what to do with your free time.
The surrounding 20 acres of fields are public open parkland space ideal for kite flying or ball games. A modern children’s adventure playground and a new skateboard park are only 80m away.
Visitors enjoy several walks to the long sandy beaches at Swanage and Studland, to the cliffs of the stunning Jurassic coastline or to go fossil hunting at Chapmans Pool.
Try any of the famous country pubs such as the Square and Compass perched on hills above the sea renowned for its homemade ciders and ales, or the Scott Arms with its sweeping views over Corfe Castle.
