General
- Peaceful 30-acre rural site 15 minutes' drive from Poole
- Less than an hour's drive from the New Forest and Peppa Pig World
- Adventure playground, natural landscaping and wildlife spotting
If you’re seeking a chilled-out rural stay but with easy access to Dorset’s many, many attractions, it’s worth making tracks to Beacon Hill Touring Park. From this fab spot, three miles from central Poole, it’s a cinch to get to the New Forest, the Jurassic coast and Peppa Pig World, not to mention an array of excellent beaches.
Spacious pitches are spread around the 30-acre site, with lots of natural landscaping giving the place a freeform vibe (no regimented lines of caravans here). Leisure facilities tucked around the grounds include an adventure play area to keep the kids fully entertained in this spacious setting.
Being of a rural nature, this place is also something of a wildlife haven – take a wander around the 30 acres of woods and heathland to see if you can spot some of the local beasties, including all six varieties of native British reptile and around 20 breeds of dragonflies.

Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
Large tents/caravans: check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit is suitable for the space you will be provided with.

Local attractions
You’re not far from the sea here, so grab your beach kit, walking boots and/or sea legs and make for the stunning Dorset coastline. Top seaside outings include boat trips to Brownsea Island from Poole Harbour, beach days at Sandbanks and walks on the South West Coast Path – 630 miles of path run west from Poole Harbour if you're feeling truly energetic.
Those with nippers in their travelling party will have lots of day trips to pick from around these parts: meet the animals at Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park (10 minutes away), zoom down the slides at Splashdown waterpark (15 minutes away) or spend the day at Paulton’s Park, home to rides, animal attractions and Peppa Pig World (50 minutes).
It’s also worth making a trip over to the New Forest National Park, half an hour away, for walks, bike rides and horseback treks across the heath, moorland and forests where more than 3,000 wild ponies roam.
