If your camping destination is Dorset-based, farm yourself out to the friendly folk at St Leonards Farm Caravan & Camping Park, which is an ideal base for exploring Bournemouth, Poole and the New Forest. There are sparkling loos, toasty hot water for showers and washing up, marked-out pitches and a visiting wood fired pizza oven on Saturdays – clearly these farm folk know what campers want. And canine campers are welcome too.
If you want to sizzle your own sausages, you can exchange gas cylinders on site and there are two major supermarkets within five minutes’ drive, or two pubs within a mile and a number of nearby restaurants if you’re feeling lazy/thirsty. St Leonards Farm is a sociable but quiet site and has a 'no noise after 11pm' policy – perfect if you’re getting up at the crack of dawn for some seaside exploring.
St Leonards Farm is one of the closest campsites to Bournemouth, with sandy beaches only seven miles away. There’s loads to do nearby if you’re feeling full of beans – try watersports such as windsurfing, sailing or surfing at Bournemouth’s artificial reef, or have at it with some go-karting, dry slope skiing, golf, fishing or horse-riding in the scenic surrounding countryside.
Feeling a bit tired after all that sporty exertion? Take a picnic to nearby Moors Valley Country Park, which has a golf course, cycling routes and outdoor play area, or have a family day out at a plethora of local attractions including Paultons Park, Marwell Zoo, Beaulieu Motor Museum and Wimborne Minster Model Town.
Kids will enjoy fossil hunting on the Jurassic Coast, and if they’re disappointed by not finding a T-rex skeleton right there and then, you can take them along to the Dinosaur Museum at Dorchester, then spoil them with a day out at Adventure Wonderland less than three miles from the park. The site is also an ideal stop over point for the Poole or Portsmouth cross channel ferries.

From the manager...
There was unfortunately a major underground water leak in September at the end of the Season and we had to turn off some of the hot water supplies. This has now been fully resolved following a complete re-plumbing of the shower block. The daddy long legs swarmed in september 2014 and there was not much we could do about that. There is a 5mph speed limit on site and if we see people breaking that, then we ask them to slow down or leave the Park. We are sorry for any problems.

We are located about seven miles from Bournemouth and four miles west of Ringwood just off the A31. We are just opposite the Murco petrol station at Pinehurst Road. Look out for our big blue sign in the farm fields on your left as you head towards Ferndown from Ringwood. The A31 links directly from the M27 and M3 making us very easy to drive to from London, Southampton and the Midlands via Oxford.
