If you want peace and quiet on a small organic farm, with beautiful views, birdsong and a river to sit by or fish in, then come and spend a few days and nights in our meadows and woodlands.

Ham Down meadow, Stour Hanging and Ham Down Copse cover around 8 acres and tents can be pitched on the field or in the woods. These fields form part of our 80 acre Soil Association registered organic farm. Since 1971, this farm has been a conservation and farming project; all mammals, birds, butterflies, bats and plants have been recorded and encouraged.

We allow a maximum of 5 tents per night, assuring everyone of plenty of space and we are keeping things as simple as possible.

There is a long-drop loo in a secluded corner of the field and a tap for fresh water near the meadow. We have 4 designated firepit areas for campfires and bbq's and wood as well as Dorset charcoal can be bought at the farm.

Cars can be unloaded about 200m from the field but then need to be driven down to the farm for secure parking. We have a small stock of provisions, along with fresh eggs from the hens and ducks and by mid-August our own sausages and pork burgers.

If you enjoy coarse fishing, the farm has over a mile of riverbank to fish from. We can tell you the best spots and what you might catch.
We have a no dogs policy as the neighbouring farm is a sheep farm and there are often ewes and lambs in the adjacent fields.
