Wake up on the banks of the tinkling River Tavy, where the neighbours include otters, mink, bats and a wide variety of water birds, and you might even be able to tickle a trout for your supper...
Even if you don’t manage to bag a riverside pitch at Harford Bridge Holiday Park, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll be disappointed with your view: it’s 360 degrees of bucolic bliss at Harford Bridge, with a vista that pans across the tors of Dartmoor, wild meadows, sweeping hills and the rocky crags of an abandoned quarry peeping through the abundant trees.

Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
Large tents/caravans: check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit is suitable for the space you will be provided with.

Leave the M5 from Bristol at Junction 31 (after Exeter). Take the A30 and leave this at the next junction beyond Okehampton onto the A386. We are 10 miles from this point - you will see the Harford Bridge Park sign on the A386 at the turning left to Peter Tavy.
From Plymouth follow the A386 through Tavistock heading towards Okehampton. After two miles turn right for Peter Tavy, and you will see the park entrance on the right-hand side.
The site has very good facilities and is well placed for exploring West Devon and the Tamar Valley (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), not forgetting Dartmoor itself, home to ponies, the infamous prison and dramatic Castle Drogo.
All manner of sporting activities are on offer in the local area, from traditional pursuits such as horse riding, golf, fishing, climbing, walking and cycling, to pulse-raising options like mountain biking, rafting and river canoeing. For those who fancy something a bit different, there are also more unusual choices such as tree surfing, letter boxing and geocaching.
Tavistock is a mere 2.5 miles away, and has lots of independent shops, an attractive pannier market for crafts, collectibles and consumables, and good entertainment options. It’s also an easy drive to the beach resorts of both Devon coasts; and to Plymouth, with its historic harbour (check out the Mayflower Steps), excellent aquarium, interesting shopping, art galleries, museums and more.
Last but not least, there are two great pubs less than a mile away from the site.
