Very quiet by mid September and we could walk to a lovely pub The Royal Oak

Don’t be put off by all the rules it was relaxed once there. I can see why the two toilets would be an issue when they are busy

Great site, easy to get to straight off the A380 and not far from neighbouring areas like the Quayside and/or beach at Teignmouth, hop on the bridge to Shaldon and Torquay not far to the South. Bathroom/shower facilities nice and clean, indoor cooking area was ideal as it rained in the morning so our eggs weren't ruined luckily! Has a trail that leads to the woods which was lovely. Coop Food is a 6 minute drive for essentials back on the A380 then next turning off. Sheltered location away from the sea so at night you don't have a chilly coastal breeze. The electric hookups and drinking water taps are situated every 3 pitches so easy access. You can't park next to your tent but wheelbarrows are provided to bring your stuff from the car park opposite to your tent. We liked this as we didn't have to watch out for cars driving around ideal if you have pets/small children playing. We were surprised at the £25 a night fee lot cheaper than we thought it would be (included a £5 optional electric mains charge so £20 if you don't need electric). This was our first camping trip and we loved it :)

Only one road in, extremely narrow, scrapped both sides of campervan on way in as road wasn't wide enough

Two showers, both electric power showers, no hot water from them at all, absolutely freezing and no power at all. Can safely say the worst shower i have ever had..

Sloped pitch

Nice pitches with not too many tents. Great for kids as they made a lot of friends. Great for a family break with kids. Love the fact that there was a fridge on the site so we were able to keep our food fresher for longer.

Overall stay only 4 stars as there were issued with the shower, very little water pressure and it constantly changed from very hot to very cold. However, the site manager explained they had some pipe leak down the road, and that the authorities were dealing with it.

The area was lovely. Facilities all clean and tidy. Childrens play area central so you can keep an eye on them. Friendly staff. Great location, easy access to main shops and places to visit. Ideal for families with kids.

only 2 toilets, however I understand more are being built. Sloping area for the tents, so bring something to lift your blow up bed.

Only thing we did not like was the sloping pitch but we knew this before we got there & took a chance

The toilets and showers were spotless, cleaned twice a day. A nice addition of a little kitchen with a microwave and fridge for communal use. Cars are parked at the car park, not on the pitch making the site very safe for children to play. The washing machine and dryer available at £1 for half an hour use were very useful. The location is great! Half an hour or less from most tourist spots in South Devon. Communication after booking and building up to our stay was excellent. The electricity supply was reasonable and reliable. The rubbish is collected every morning meaning there are no bins on site which was great as it massively reduced the insects.

There are only two toilets and two showers on site. When we were staying there were around 50 people camping, so as you can imagine this became quite uncomfortable at times. The showers were not great- one only ran cold and the other ran scalding hot or cold intermittently. The toilets ran out of toilet paper the first day for a good few hours, but this didn't happen again after that. The pitches are sloped, quite severely on some! We struggled to stay on our blow up mattresses when sleeping.

Good range of facilities on site, always nice and clean. Nice and quiet.
