- Nearly-wild camping in fields and wildflower meadows
- Set in rural west Devon
This is *nearly* wild camping, which means that your pitch is set in a secluded position. Each pitch has a field entirely to itself! You'll have no neighbours (other than the occasional duck, pheasant or frog) when staying here - erfect for peaceful evenings spent stargazing beside the campfire.
To gain this seclusion, your pitch may be up to 200m from the parking area. If staying in Pond Field you will have to cross the river (don't worry there is a bridge). Wheelbarrows are available for transporting your kit to your pitch, and we'll lend a hand if we can.
Pitches are located in clearings among the grasses and wildflowers. To protect our most delicate habitats we ask that families with children only book Pond Field and Lower Field. Please note that the Pond Field pitch sits near the river which is unfenced.
We have only five pitches, which are limited to one month of bookings each, to protect the natural habitats.
There are no showers here. A basic compost toilet is located in your field. An indoor toilet and hot water basin is available (at set times) through the scullery, adjacent to the owners' home. A butler sink is also in the scullery, for washing up.
Sorry, no dogs.

Many sites set a maximum occupancy of 6/8 people per pitch, so try breaking your booking down into smaller groups to generate more results. For example, if you’re a group of 10, enter 5 people in your initial search and then book 2 pitches.
However, where the pitch or accommodation occupancy allows it, you can make a booking for up to 30 adults and 30 children in one booking.
To book multiple pitches or accommodation, use the 'Special requests' box on the booking page to ask to be sited together. Complete the booking form for the first booking (you can add a password and save your card so that we remember your details). Then click "Make another booking like this" at the top of the confirmation page to make the next booking.
Large groups: check the listing page for any group restrictions set out in the terms and section titled ‘Please note’.
Large tents/caravans: check the restrictions on unit dimensions to ensure your unit is suitable for the space you will be provided with.
