General

Island Lodge is an AA five pennant, pet friendly touring site, open all year and welcomes couples and families. The two acre grassland site is surrounded by natural Devon hedgerows and is situated on a section of a privately owned eighteen acre unique 'dry island'. The 'island' is in a peaceful rural location, just one mile north of Kingsbridge, in the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The touring site has easy access, and the well maintained grounds offer grass pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes. Alternatively, the site offers ‘super pitches’ with a hard standing base for your caravan and awning, or motorhome, mains water point and drainage. These ‘super pitches’ can be reserved in advance, subject to availability.

All pitches are offered with free electric hook up. Please note you will require your appropriate equipment to use this facility. The purpose built, on site amenities are modern and well cared for. Separate facilities are available for ladies and gents, and all the showers have free hot water. The site also offers a family washroom, and disabled facilities are available on request.
Amenities are also provided for dishwashing, again with free hot water. There are modern token operated laundry facilities. Water points are located conveniently on site, along with easy access chemical waste disposal point.

For families, the site has a large safe play area with swing, slide, climbing frame and walking beam. There is also an abundance of space in this area for soft ball games.

Pitches can be requested to be near, or with a view of the play area. For pet owners, dogs and other pets are very welcome on site, but please advise us at the time of booking. It is requested that your dog is tethered at all times on site, and please be a responsible dog owner. The quiet country lane adjacent to the site is ideal for dog walking, a purpose doggie waste bin, and bags are available on site, along with treats! Seasonal pitches are also available on site, with a hard standing base for your caravan and awning, mains water point, drainage and electric hook up.

Rallies are welcome on site, and we are also able to offer you a green field site for your club event. A caravan and boat storage facility is available, with 24 hour CCTV in a council licensed secure compound.
The site office is open daily from 9.00am - 8.000pm
